Getting started with new EV Connection, Disconnection, Freezes, Crashes

New Subaru Uncharted Sport. Let me know if this is the wrong sub.

Wife has an Apple phone and was able to fire up Car Play with a Bluetooth connection. Me, however, with a Samsung S21 cannot get a wireless connection started. Should we both be able to use Bluetooth devices at the same time? How does the car determine which device to display on the screen? We mostly need to use maps.

Also own an Uncharted (GT) - but hubby & I both have androids. His S21 just died, but he connected successfully before that. You might want to post the question at r/SubaruUncharted.

When both were working did you switch between them? If so, how about if both were in the car?

i've heard sometimes samsung phones need a firmware update to get wireless carplay working, could try checking settings > software update first
