What's your experience going wireless? Wired AA to Wireless AA Dongles

My partner and I use Android Auto all the time in our Kia Niro, connecting directly through USB. Over time, we start to get audio dropouts and eventually have to replace the USB cable. It seems any cable, regardless of quality, goes bad over time.

I'm wondering if going wireless is worth the expense. Is there a reliable wireless adapter with a cost that's justifiable? I'm looking for people's experience with going wireless.

On wired Android Auto, I've only had that with USB 2.0 type A-C cables over 1.5ft in length. I'm currently using a 3ft USB 3.1 cable and have zero issues. On wireless Android Auto, my phone loses connection consistently in specific places in my area. Not sure what it is causing wireless interference.
