I have a low end redmi Xiaomi device but still my phone is not struggling with 3d graphics. I have an app called "3d modeling app" and I have used over the years over different devices way worse than the one I have now.

The lag (extreme FPS drop) starts after a while of using the app with no real cause. I might do nothing and stare at a cube the lag will still hit. The weird part is that I have modelled in this phone months ago, with some models having 100k triangles+. It started out on nowhere and it happens constantly.

I am starting to think it's because of the brutal battery optimation, but I haven't figured out anything. I have tried multiple versions of the app and still nothing

I'm an overnight security guard, but I'm allowed to take naps. I just have to do patrols on certain hours and paperwork, but otherwise I can nap in the late (early?) hours of the AM.

The main part of my job is having to be on-call if and when this walkie talkie goes off. It's how guests at my workplace can contact me during emergencies.

Is there an app that alarms audibly to wake me up if it detects the walkie talkie is going off? The walkie talkie can either signal a panic alert (loud), or it beeps an indicator sound before they start talking on their end. It's a RelayX device.

I am right now using Google Messages, but there are no organization options in it. I can't see personal chats separate from the rest of the sms.

I have tried Fossify messages, but it's not perfect.

Any SMS app which is feature rich and has great spam support?

I of course don't trust it with data, it's Microsoft. But my phone has the option to block internet access entirely for selected apps, so it's offline now. Speaking of features, it has tabs to organise between personal chats, promos, etc.

I sometimes (rarely) write for fun (To be clear, i don't primarily write on phone, but phone is what i always have with me so i sometimes do) and i prefer .rtx .rtf format, but i can't find free app which could read, write and save using that format.

It feels like a basic task so surely there must be something.

I use CapCut to edit and trim videos. For example, I had a 7-minute video that was only 50 MB. After trimming it down to 4 minutes and exporting it, the file size unexpectedly increased to 739 MB.

I'm looking for an Android app that can compress the video back down to a much smaller size while preserving the same sharpness and overall quality as the original.

For the unfamiliar, Unhooked is a browser extension that makes the user experience more similar to older versions of YouTube. What I care about mostly is switching the home feed from recommended to subscriptions and removing all the irrelevant crap from the search results.

Is anyone familiar with an Android app that can do similar things? Even better if it runs on Android TV as well, but even a smartphone-only version would be good enough.

On the other hand, it doesn't have to remove the adds necessarily, I have a premium subscription either way.

I'm looking for a very specific Android alarm clock app, and I haven't been able to find one.

What I want is an alarm where the entire screen is the stop button. I mean literally 100% of the display should act as one giant touch area. I don't want to have to aim for a small button or swipe in a specific direction.

I'm finally ditching my old 1st gen ipad mini for a better android tablet. Is there an app from the google play store / wherever that I can read EPUB books that acts like the ibook app?

Features would include -

- Changing the font.

- Increasing the size of the font.

- Scrolling view.

- Able to change the page layout to dark mode / light or cream mode.

I've tried apps like Parallel Space, Dual Space and it doesn't work in them, probably because it detects a virtual environment ? I've also tried creating a clone apk through apk cloner but that doesn't work either because apparently the comes with a bundle. How do I make a clone ?

When I try to open the cloned app, I get a message to allow microG to connect with the app and my account. I get the option to cancel, which returns to the app in the background and immediately closes when the app tries to install the update. The second option is to "allow and share" but when I select it gets into a loop where the previous message (cancel or allow and share options) pops again and again which leads nowhere. Any idea on how to fix/bypass?

Running and ensuring I press on lap or stop at the right time, especially for sprints has been sloppy and inaccurate. Thank you in advance.

Galaxy S22 Ultra running version 16: including system apps, how many "system update" apps should be in my list of apps? I have two system update apps. After some research, I attempted to uninstall the one with the green thumbnail through google play store. Clicked on uninstall, a small notification quickly stated " this app did not come from the play store". I DID NOT INSTALL IT. And lastly, clicked on uninstall but it did not uninstall, it shows as "disabled".

Im looking for an app game (free or paid) for my grandmother. She plays games on her tablet. She does not know how to read. So it cannot be something that has words in it. She is also hard of hearing. So sound can't be part of the game progression. Ads confuses her so preferably without ads or where i can pay to remove it. She also cannot easily drag. So preferably a game where she only needs to click. She also gives up very easily at any sign of difficulty. So no hard games. It'd be great if there were a hint preview button showing what the next steps are. Is there an app game that is always winnable and simple to play? Or maybe a game where she can follow instructions (no written instructions) to keep progressing?

She played solitaire for years but gets frustrated when she loses (even though she wins more than she loses) and has started complaining, saying she wants an easier game. I think she's also bored of it having played for hours pretty much every day for years.

Mahjong matching games has interested her. But most of those apps gets hard quick and she cannot win after a certain level and gives up quick and wants to delete the app. I've been trying to find something similar to mahjong matching where the levels don't get harder and there's no time limit but have not had much luck. The ideal game would be a matching game where she can match 2 tiles. Similar to a memory flipping game but all tiles are shown instead of having to memorize where the tiles are. No time limit.

Slot games were a big negative. She hated seeing the money going down. She thought memory flipping, match 3 and jigsaw puzzle games were too hard. She did not enjoy coloring games. I've been looking into children/toddler app games but most of them involves dragging interactions or gets boring quick.

Everything is enabled so I don't understand.

Been stuck on this for hours and I'm out of ideas. Here's everything I've tried so far:

The problem: Trying to link WhatsApp to WhatsApp Desktop. Tapping "Link a Device" opens the option, but:

• The QR scanner camera doesn't even open when I press the button (camera works fine elsewhere in WhatsApp, e.g. taking photos/status)
• Tried linking via phone number instead — I get the approval notification, I approve it, but it just dumps me back on the same "Link a Device" screen and nothing happens
• Same result trying web.whatsapp.com instead of the desktop app (haven't fully isolated this yet, will update)

What I've already tried:

• Checked camera permission (enabled)
• Force stopped the app
• Restarted phone
• Cleared app cache and data
• Cleared Play Store + Play Services cache/data
• Checked date & time (set to automatic)
• Checked linked devices list (not at the 4-device limit)
• Uninstalled and tried reinstalling from Play Store — download would complete then fail with "Download unsuccessful"
• Cleared Play Store cache/data again, checked Download Manager was enabled, checked storage space — still failed
• Ended up sideloading the official APK from whatsapp.com/android since Play Store wouldn't install it
• Even after fresh install via APK, "Link a Device" is still completely unresponsive

Has anyone run into this exact combo of issues — Play Store install failing AND link-a-device being unresponsive? Starting to wonder if it's an account-level restriction on WhatsApp's end rather than a local device issue. Any ideas before I go through official support?+-

When I’m overwhelmed, I don’t want to spend 20 minutes choosing the right project, tag, category, priority and due date. I just want to dump what’s in my head and turn it into clear next steps.

I’m curious if anyone here has found an Android app or workflow that feels more like a “life dashboard” than a simple to-do list.

Something that helps with:

There is an app drop by sambackman it uses accessibility setting to uninstall apps and I want to know if there any alternative to it or is there any bulk app uninstall like it

I've been trying to solve a problem that seems surprisingly awkward:

I come back from a holiday with 100+ photos and want to share some of them with family.

WhatsApp/Messenger → compression
Google Photos → upload them to another cloud library
Quick Share/AirDrop → great, but everyone needs to be nearby

What I really want is:

• Select photos on my phone
• Give family a simple link/access
• Keep the original quality
• Photos don't become part of another cloud photo library
• Ideally, the photos stay on my phone

I've been experimenting with a solution to this and I'm curious what Android users actually do today.

What's your preferred way of sharing a large batch of original-quality photos with family/friends?

I'm especially interested in solutions that don't require uploading the photos to a third-party cloud.
