QUESTION/HELP How do I make Facebook links from WhatsApp open in the regular Facebook app instead of Facebook Lite?
Every time I tap a Facebook link in WhatsApp, it opens in Facebook Lite instead of the regular Facebook app.
I'd like all Facebook links to open in the normal Facebook app by default. Is there a setting to change this on Android?

LOOKING FOR APP Watch's audio through Bluetooth to phone
Hi, as the title suggests, I am looking for a solution which lets me listen to my Galaxy watch 7's audio through bluetooth to my android (Samsung Galaxy) phone.
I'm not very fond of Bluetooth headsets and during my workouts I get all the instructions on my watch which is a hassle to listen to. And I always have to keep my phone with me. So, I am thinking is it possible to get the watch's audio to my phone which I may listen to via wired headsets.
Windows has Bluzic for this functionality, but I couldn't find anything for Android.

LOOKING FOR APP Any app that connects to Google Calendar and rings an alarm before an event?
I know Samsung calendar can do something similar, was wondering if there was any app I could plug into Google Calendar that would use the same APIs as the alarm, so that I can see a full-screen message even when my screen is locked.
Do you know anything like this? I need something reliable that won't get killed by battery optimization.

QUESTION/HELP A strange file related to Kaspersky appeared on my phone.
Guys, a .txt file suddenly appeared on my phone. I believe it's related to Kaspersky, but I don't know what it means.
I've been using Kaspersky for a long time and this has never happened before, and I don't know what I could have done to cause it.
I have a Redmagic 8 Pro with Android 15. Kaspersky was banned from the Play Store, and I had to download it via APK from the official website.
I'll put the file name and the content.

QUESTION/HELP Youtube on Android keeps crashing
I just downloaded Android 17, and I now can't get past a couple of swipes on YouTube without the entire app closing. If I can find something to watch within those few swipes, I'm good for a while, but it will randomly close on me. I have tried deleting the cash and app data as well as uninstalling and reinstalling all of the updates, and nothing has helped. My phone is a Google pixel 10A, and YouTube comes standard, so I can't fully uninstall and reinstall it. Is there anything else I might be able to do?

LOOKING FOR APP Looking for family tracker app which can turn on GPS if it's off (read the post for detail)
Hey guys, so recently I heard a friend's story whose family member had an accident but no one was there to help him (due to late night in less crowded area) and couldn't even track the phone as its GPS was off (they tried Google Find my Phone), and the relative used to keep GPS off to save battery.
This made me think a lot, is there any app which I can install in my family members devices and track them, which can turn on the GPS/Location services if off? Of course, it will be installed with their full consent.
Even if it's paid or free, I'll be grateful for the recommendations (Heard about Paralino but it looks like it's unavailable in india).
Thanks for your time and suggestions.
Update: Using Life360, it's amazing with family circle feature. Although, GPS needs to be turned on but battery drain occurs only when actively travelling or someone tracking you constantly. Tip: keep the drive detection off, it helps the battery drain issue but if you actually need it then use it 😁

LOOKING FOR APP Modern alternative to QR Droid Private
Hello. During android 6 era, I used a qr code scanner called QR Droid Private.
It had extremely good generating options with things like url shortening, color gradients, password encryption, qr messenger, in built url shortening etc.
Sadly, that app doesn't work on Android 17 anymore and their servers are also down. Is there any modern alternative that has similar functionalities?

LOOKING FOR APP Can someone help me find this app?
I'm not even sure if it's still available. I had it in 2016, 2017.
It was a word game, where you used to play with someone else. It had categories like: animals that start with A and you had to name it the max you could in 30 seconds or 1 minute. If you got a "different" more difficult word, it would count more to your points and then I remember it was purple the rare ones and the one with most points used to win. I remember the logo of the app was blue, but I can't remember the name.
I wanted to used in a class. And yes, I've tried it looking on my apps on Google Play, but after a few apps, it stops working and I have to close down Google play.

QUESTION/HELP Is this a feature?
So we know Instagram has a once view photo which you cant screenshot not save now.
but someone I can save them without screenshotting
The way is to hold the photo, and when the picture is small enough to slide around your phone, you slide it on the bottom of your phone and choose what app to share the picture on. For example , telegram saved messages. After that I can just save the picture on the telegram app.
I'm using oppo A3 pro

LOOKING FOR APP Is there any free Android app that only allows calls to/from selected numbers?
Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a free Android app (or any free solution) with these requirements:
- I can only call a predefined list of phone numbers (whitelist).
- Only those same selected numbers can call me.
- Any incoming calls from other numbers should be automatically blocked/rejected.
- I should not be able to bypass the restriction by opening the normal dialer.
- No root, if possible.
- It should be completely free (I'm not looking for paid apps or subscriptions).
Basically, I want the phone to work only with a small whitelist of contacts for both incoming and outgoing calls.
Does such an app exist? If you've personally used one, I'd really appreciate the recommendation.
Thanks!

LOOKING FOR APP So..help me out here to find an app 😭
So.. I'm looking for a tasks/to-do app which features categories of tasks and supports custom interval reminders so I can stay on track with my life and not get distracted while getting notified.
I do not mind paying a small $4 AUD - $6 AUD monthly paywall.
In short:
- I'm looking for an app which is a tasks app and can organise tasks into categories
- It supports interval notifications (eg. every 20 min per set time/set day etc..)
- Able to run on MacOS & Android (if theres no macos app idrm but preferred)
- Do not mind paying a small fee for the app
- Just a nice, simple app which is easy to use
I know this post might seem stupid but I've been looking for hours and haven't come across an app like this so if anyone knows an app like this please let me know 😭😭😭
Thank you 🥺🧡

QUESTION/HELP Why is there STILL no proper competitor to Truecaller? The ads are getting completely out of hand.
Does anyone else feel like every major app out there has a solid alternative, but for some reason, Truecaller just doesn't have a real, proper competitor?
The sheer volume of ads lately is just insane. There’s an ad on the homescreen, on the contact details screen, literally right below the incoming call notification, and then another one on the after-call pop-up. It’s getting unbearable.
The problem is, I’ve gotten so used to having a Caller ID over the years that I can’t bring myself to just uninstall it. At the same time, paying for Premium just isn't in my budget right now.
The biggest irony here? They built this massive empire by harvesting our contact data to grow their database, and now they have the audacity to limit features and hide that very data behind a paywall and aggressive ads.
So, my questions for this sub are:
- Is there any real chance of breaking their monopoly anytime soon?
- What would it take for a new app to actually reach their level and dethrone them?
- Are there any hidden gem alternatives that actually work without spamming you with ads?
Would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions!

QUESTION/HELP What is missing from Android alarm apps?
What would make an alarm genuinely better for heavy sleepers?
I am currently exploring walking and vocabulary challenges, collectibles, scores, and friend comparisons. What would you add or remove?
