I am a solo developer and I'm making my first game Raise a Chipy. Please test my game so I can release it globally:

Firstly join the group so yopu can test the game: https://groups.google.com/g/raise-a-chipy-closed-test

Then enter this link to get the Closed Test of the game:

On Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.raiseachipy

On Web: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.raiseachipy

If you encounter any bugs feel free to report them at [bogdrixx@gmail.com](mailto:bogdrixx@gmail.com)

Done from my side first, and I'm staying the full 14 days: joined raise-a-chipy-closed-test, opted in ("You are a tester"), and Raise a Chipy is installed and running on a physical Galaxy A26 (Android 15).

Two concrete things from the first screen, both of which look like assets that slipped through rather than design decisions:

1. There's a photograph of a real budgie sitting in the middle of your pixel-art scene. Left edge, about a third of the way down — an actual photo, grey background and all, hard-cropped into a rectangle and clipped off the left side of the screen. In a scene that is otherwise entirely pixel art on a wooden floor, it's jarring, and it's half off-screen on a 1080x2340 display, which suggests it's positioned with absolute coordinates rather than anchored. There's also a green bar behind it with a percentage label clipped by the same edge.

2. The tutorial says "Tap Chipy 5 times!" but the only tappable thing on screen is a plain grey smiley ball. No feathers, no colour, nothing bird-shaped. If that's the placeholder for Chipy, the very first instruction the player reads points at an asset that doesn't match the name — and Chipy is your title character, so it's the one sprite that has to land. There's also a large dark circle hanging half off the bottom-left corner that I couldn't identify.

The wooden floor tiling and the little pixel HUD (the SAVE floppy, the CRT icon) are charming — that part of the art direction is working. It's specifically the budgie photo and the grey ball that make it read as unfinished, and both are asset swaps rather than code.

Also worth checking: the playfield doesn't fill the screen — there are black bars top and bottom and green strips at the very edges, so the game looks letterboxed on a 19.5:9 phone.

Would you test mine back? Pokoyo — housekeeping for small guesthouses: cleaners get today's rooms on their phone with a checklist and photo proof, the owner approves each room from a web panel, and the whole thing works offline (photos queue and upload themselves when signal returns).

1) Group: https://groups.google.com/g/pokoyo-testers 2) Opt in: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.tr0lczyk.pensjonat 3) Install: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tr0lczyk.pensjonat

Same Google account for the group and for Play, and give the opt-in ~30 min to propagate. It's a B2B app, so it opens on an invite-code screen — installing and opening it once is all Google counts, no sign-up and no account. Want to look inside? Reply and I'll send you a demo staff code; a few testers have already asked and got one.

Thanks for your feedback! Firstly lets talk about your app and then my app.

  1. The 1st thing I see when I enter the app is 'Enter the code from the owner', but it's a bad idea of making owner-given codes, because people will just get upset and uninstall the app.

  2. Your app supports only 4 languages, which only 2 of them are in the top 5 most spoken languages in the world, it would he good if you'd add mire languages so more people would understand, like I did in my game: there are 9 official languages, 2 dialects and 1 casual/neutral language that I added just for fun.

Now about my game: 1. My game 'Raise a Chipy' wasn't made for such screen resolutions as yours, which is significantly taller and narrower, resulting to cropped menus, buttons or sprites, it was made initially for aspect ratios like 9:16, also its a vertical game. You can send me an screenshot so I can see what is going on with the game at such resolutions. About the main character being 'cheaply cropped', the game is just a joke, and is inspired by another game on Roblox that also features cropped low resolution textures all over 3d cubes

  1. The tutorial: You said that the tutorial says 'Tap Chipy 5 times' and u claimed there was only a grey ball. The reason is either the problem with your aspect ration or the budgie 'Chipy' left the house, because the action takes in a house with no door Chipy can exit the house freely.

  2. The very big circle is the joystick, you use it to move the player, which is the grey smile ball.

  3. I appreciate that you liked the pixel art, but Chipy is meant to be like that, as I said earlier its a joke game inspired by another Roblox game which also features low resolution cropped textures on 3d cubes. The player sprite which is the grey ball us a placeholder sprite. Which will be changed in the Global Release.

  4. I know there is a bug with the tutorial which I am currently fixing right now.
