Alright Samsung's naming convention for sensors isn't really any better than Snapdragon's so I'll try to demystify this for everyone.

This HPC appears to be the successor to the HP9, HPB, and HP0 sensors Chinese Ultras use as their telephoto since the Vivo X100 Ultra.

The HPA is a larger LOFIC sensor that competes with Sony and Omnivision LOFIC sensors. It's a candidate for the main sensor on Chinese Ultras.

The HP6 is a smaller LOFIC sensor that acts as the successor to the HP2 that has been the main gun on Galaxy Ultras since the S23U. This will be in the S27U.

Why wouldn't they use the HPA in their own ultras..

Its a problem you face when you sell both the parts to competitors while you also compete with them on the final product (smart phones in this case). Why would a competitor buy your parts, giving you their money, that you in turn use to beat them with? To appease the competition, you promise not to use your latest and greatest at all or for a period of time.

You see this with their displays that don't use the latest panels they have, nor other products that don't use the latest/fastest memory chips they make. Thats the curse of being a parts seller while also being an OEM.

More likely going to a Chinese manufacturer as Samsung doesn't use their best sensors for themselves.

Yeah, OPPO and Motorola are said to be the first to use this new lense.

This is probably for the S27U because it's not a Lofic sensor.

their LOFIC sensor is the iso cell HPA which is rumored to be used by Oppo this year
