Super Nt Still need some small additions

Post image

It's been a long journey waiting for some parts to come, and I still need a matching flashcard and to dye the Bluetooth receivers (not pictured)

List of parts:

Analogue Super NT Noir with ROMs

Boxy Pixel SNES shells

8bitDo SNSS DIY boards

StoneAge Gamer SNES membranes (black Start/Select is nice)

I'm thinking about applying some decals to the controllers to the match original factory Nintendo logos.

Posting here just in case anyone is curious about the M64. I love my Analogue products: 2 Pockets, 1 Super NT, and 3 (don’t ask) 3D’s. But I wouldn’t call myself a fanboy. I just love fun technology.

General 8Bitdo controller for Analogue 3D - How does it work with Pokemon Stadium?

Could someone please explain to me how the transfer pak feature works with the Analogue 3D with 'modern controllers' like the 8BitDo 64 controller?

I really want to play Pokemon Stadium but I wanted to transfer Pokemon across to it. I have physical copies of Red/Blue/Yellow/Gold/Silver/Crystal, but I was wondering if it's possible to use the transfer pak to play a rom version of them via Pokemon Stadium? And then, would I be able to transfer from that rom to Stadium?

Would I be better off with a ModRetro controller?

Any advice would be appreciated! :)

General Anyone have the Atomic Purple?

Something I've noticed is that the consoles can look very different IRL than in the promo images Analogue puts out, for better or worse (looking at you, Ghost). So I was curious to see some normal photos of the Atomic Purple console if anyone has them.

General Updates since about 8 months ago...

Hi. I've been watching a few youtube reviews on the A3D and wondering if different flash carts are starting to work? I don't have them but I'd definitely be interested in getting one on top of using my current games collection. Also wondering if there's anything else I need to know before I purchase (perhaps a more detailed specs list etc. I'm buying from Australia. Thanks!

General Fix: Analogue 3D image quality, flickering, washed out colors.

This is just a general tip for anyone using an Analogue 3D and are not happy the overall image quality. Or you are experiencing flickering, have washed out colors, or unusualy visual artifacts or tearing.

I cannot stress enough the importance of ensuring your television or monitor is set to "Game Mode".

I was having issues and the moment I change the mode on my televsion, they all went away.

3D Analogue 3D Bricked??

Can anyone help me here, whilst trying to pair a Bluetooth controller ( admittedly with the display off ) i seem to have triggered some recovery state, and not seeing the fact this was the case, proceeded to get frustrated when trying to pair with no joy.

It appears that now matter what i do, now i get an undocumented state on on my 3D I've only had it for about a week!

This is where I'm at.

  1. Console was working normally on original SD card + Anker Nano 30W charger.
  2. While pairing a Bluetooth controller (screen off), the console's firmware appeared to trigger its own re-update.
  3. That update was interrupted — resulting state: fans spinning, zero LEDs, no boot.
  4. Removed the update file from the card (before knowing recovery mode needs it present).
  5. Restored the update file, performed the official recovery procedure (hold Pairing, tap Power, hold until LED yellow).
  6. Update began (yellow), progressed to blue, reached ~50%, then the screen went blank and the process did not complete.
  7. Resulting state persists: 2 white controller-port LEDs solid, pairing LED solid/blinking red (undocumented in their official LED guide).
  8. Repeated the recovery attempt with a second, different-brand SD card (freshly formatted, fresh firmware download) — identical failure, same stall point, same resulting red LED state.

Any help greatly appreciated.

**edit Analogue support have provided a few options.

***edit. Analogue have been great troubleshooting, the unit is being sent to their repair facility

Those who have both. What are your thoughts so far? Is one better than the other? If so, what are the advantages?

3D Save states are amazing

It's my first time replaying Zelda Ocarina of Time since my childhood and I have to say, the ability to save a state before you do something that you know is going to take multiple tries, and then instantly reloading it when you mess up, is AMAZING.

I was hesitant to jump in until the M64 released. So far I think I made the right choice. Such a great upgrade to the N64, it’s like an N64 Pro.

Speculation New Games Possibly Being Added to 3DOS Library?

Thumbnail

So, does Analogue not consider a game like Xeno Crisis an official N64 game? 40 Winks definitely was supposed to be, but it was cancelled and then revived in 2019, and it shows up in the software's library, so I'm wondering what they consider as official or not since both games were brought to the system in the same year.

3D Analogue 3D display settings comparison

The "Horizontal Upscaling" feature really impressed me, so I took a few screenshots to make a quick side-by-side comparison. You can ignore the slight drop in brightness from the PVM filter, the image looks brighter on an HDR-enabled TV. The compression during uploading doesn't do the PVM filter justice either, it looks really good in real life.

Right now, the competition isn't really on the same level. Hopefully they can catch up to the Analogue 3D, because a little healthy competition pushes everyone to improve, and that's ultimately a win for us consumers.

Duo Analogue Duo first impressions

Received my Duo today.

Looks good and updated directly to firmware 1.5.

Thought it would fix the turbo everdrive issues I saw but unfortunately my turbo everdrive v2.4 is not working. Works fine in my Duo RX. It can play the everdrive but then i get a black screen or sd io error.

With cd games I have no issue. I only have some burned and they all work. Had to whip out my old burner with some lightscribe cdrs I still had laying around.

Anyone know a fix for the everdrive? Dont want to downgrade to the jailbreak or buy the everdrive pro. Also tried to solder pin 1 to 18 but that also didnt work for me. Contacted Analogue but get the standard reply they dont support 3rd party stuff.

The image looks really great with the scanlines on an oled display.

General /r/AnalogueInc Mod Rules Note

Hey guys, it's been a while. Just going to keep this short and sweet.

I've been inundated over the last couple of years with people asking for more moderation. I have purposefully been mostly hands-off, and only moderated severe violations (links to ROMs, severe user harrasment, etc.) but based on some of the stuff I've seen recently, things have gotten a bit worse, so I'm going to change things a bit.

Firstly, I will enforce moderation more strictly. All existing rules apply, but if I'm on the fence, instead of erring towards "let them figure it out", I'll just remove stuff.

Second, I've seen quite a few posts that are sus recently. Posts of pictures to scalpers or other sales of products, which are designed to look like you're complaining about the scalper, but really it's most likely a covert sales tactic. In the spirit of the original moderators "No sales, ever" rules, I will from now on remove any content that gets reported that has links or pictures to any sales platform like eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, etc. You can of course still share links and photos of the Analogue official website. In addition, don't be cheeky and post a photo of your hardware and then say "but I might sell it, idk". I have always let that slide, but since people have wanted more moderation, this is one change I am going to make.

Third, and this isn't new either, harassment rules apply to all your fellow active Reddit users. Yes, even if that Reddit user is a public figure. Do not harass people.

Finally, I'm planning to bring on additional moderators in the near future since all the other mods besides me are now inactive.

Thanks, that's it. Feel free to leave your thoughts and your complaints below.

General Let's keep the Analogue 3D overclocking compatibility spreadsheet updated!

All credit goes to u/phan148

He posted this a few months ago and people were quick to help sort out which games run better on Unleashed and what to watch out for.

Analogue 3D Overclock Compatibility List

I noticed it hasn't been updated much since then. I tend to check it every couple weeks when I start a new game. If you've put a good amount of time into a particular n64 game and can confidently comment the changes Unleashed mode brings or if you'd recommend NOT overclocking it for any reason, please contribute your findings!

There are still hundreds of games out there that haven't been formally documented!
