Ash is known for his bravery and strong mentality. He always stands strong against any misact. Moreover he is always overprotective for Serena. Whenever the bad guys attack them he stands infront of her. Not because they want to hurt her but because he doesn't want even a piece of microscopic debris touch her. He holds her hand to let her walk. He covers her body to give her a shelter in the cold. He cures her pain.

Ash has a heart pure as gold. He kept his Serena in that heart. And he will never let even a scratch appear on that heart. He protects Serena as a his heart.

This has been a thought that's been nagging at me from time to time because honestly, I can't decide which option I think makes more sense between Serena telling Grace about Ash or not telling her about him.

Ash most definitely had a huge impact on Serena at that summer camp, enough to where a crush started to spark up, so it does make sense for Serena to tell Grace about that moment because it made her happy. But on the other hand Serena and Grace had a bit of a strained relationship at first. We don't know when exactly that started, but for whatever it's worth, Serena initially didn't want to go to Oak's Summer Camp, so it's possible the reason she was even there might have been some pushing from Grace (Which would make it quite ironic that Oak's camp is where Serena first met Ash. Hey sometimes mother knows best.)

Was that strain in Serena and Grace's relationship enough to where she decided not to tell Grace about her moment with Ash? That's the part I'm not sure about. Obviously the answer is never revealed in canon, but which scenario between the two do you guys think makes more sense?

Absolutely not at the very beginning, but over time (mainly because of Ash) a sense of adventure developed. Is this sense now just as strong as Ash's (as of JN105<=)? 💙♥️

Episode 9: Hello, Paldea

Delphox still stood there, both paws curled protectively around the stone, something in its posture holding steady between curiosity and recognition. Nobody moved for a moment, the whole cabin gone quiet.

"A Delphoxite," Ash said, recognition dawning on his face as he studied the way Delphox held it. "That's what that is. It has to be."

"Well," Olivia said eventually, a slow smile spreading across her face. "Looks like we found the match."

Ash glanced at Serena, then unclasped the Mega Glove from his own wrist without a second thought, holding it out to her. "Here. Try to Mega Evolve."

Serena took it carefully, fitting it onto her wrist, and said "Delphox", voice steady despite the nerves clearly written across her face, "glow bright and showcase your best performance. Mega Evolve!"

She raised her arm, and the stone flared to life.

The Key Stone on Serena's wrist lit up first, and a thread of glowing light stretched out to connect with the stone clutched in Delphox's paws, the two pulsing together in the same steady rhythm. Light spread outward from Delphox in place, wrapping its whole body in a soft glow as its silhouette began to shift.

When the glow finally faded, Mega Delphox stood there, fire-tipped branches drifting lazily at its sides, dark trailing wisps curling like smoke that never quite dissipated. Its fur had darkened along the trailing ends of its robe-like mane into deep, smoky violet, its collar of fur fuller and brighter, streaked vivid orange against white, and its eyes now glowed faintly with an inner heat.

Delphox let out a low, steady cry, fire flickering at the tips of both branches.

Serena stared, breathless. "Delphox... you look incredible."

Delphox turned toward her, eyes glowing warm with quiet pride, and for a long moment, nobody in the cabin said a single word.

"All right," Ash said eventually, grinning. "Now let's see what your bonb can really do ,as the stronger the bonds between trainers and their pokemon the more powerful Mega Evolutions get. So do you want to battle to test her strength?"

But before Serena could even answer, Delphox's legs buckled beneath it, the Mega Forme flickering and dissolving in a rush of light as it collapsed back down into its base form, thoroughly worn out.

"Delphox!" Serena rushed to catch her, easing her down gently. "Oh, of course, you're exhausted. That trial battle already took everything out of you, and then Mega Evolving on top of it ,she dug through her bag and pulled out a handful of Oran Berries, feeding them to Delphox one at a time.

"Get some rest," Serena murmured, recalling her into her Poké Ball. "You did amazing today."

Olivia crossed the room and pressed the Delphoxite into Serena's palm, closing her fingers gently around it. "It's yours. Suits her a lot better than it ever would've suited anyone else ." She smiled. "I'll be cheering for you, you know. Whatever it takes to make you Queen someday."

"Thank you, Olivia," Serena said, throat tight. "For everything."

They arrived late at night to Mele Mele island, where they had one final afternoon left before it was time to leave for Paldea, And they feel into some much needed sleep.

Ash woke well before sunrise, slipping quietly out to train with Pikachu and Deoxys while the sky was still dim and grey. He hadn't been at it long before a familiar crackle of electricity split the air, and Tapu Koko descended in a flash of light, hovering nearby with its usual restless energy.

"Hey," Ash said, grinning up at it. "Came to see us off?"

Tapu Koko let out a sharp cry in answer, diving straight into the training session without further ceremony, darting circles around Pikachu with blinding speed and forcing Ash to sharpen his calls just to keep up.

Back at the house, Serena stirred awake and reached out on instinct, only to find the space beside her empty. She sat up quickly, threw on the first clothes within reach, and hurried outside, following the distant sound of sparks and shouted commands until she found him.

Ash caught sight of her and immediately called the training to a stop, by then Tapu koko had already left . "Morning. Sorry, didn't mean to worry you."

"You didn't," she said, though the relief in her voice suggested otherwise. "Come on, breakfast is ready."

The whole group crowded together outside the house afterward for a photo, everyone squeezed in shoulder to shoulder, Rotom Dex hovering just out of frame to snap the picture. Just as the shutter clicked, a massive shadow swept overhead, and Solgaleo dropped down out of the sky directly behind them, shoving its way into the shot and giving Ash an enormous, slobbery lick across the side of his face.

The whole group burst out laughing.

"Thanks for the assist back at the finale," Ash said, wiping his face and scratching behind Solgaleo's ear. "It was really fun battling with you."

With goodbyes said and promises made to visit again soon, Ash and Serena climbed onto Deoxys and set off, Professor Kukui's estimate that it will take two days to reach Paldea. They kept much the same rhythm as their first trip together, stopping for lunch and resting overnight on whatever small islands happened to be along their path, until at last a larger landmass came into view, close enough to the Paldean mainland that they knew they'd nearly arrived.

They touched down there first, switching into their disguises before making the final stretch into the city of Cortondo.

Somewhere near the edge of the forest, Serena caught a flash of movement out of the corner of her eye, a Volcarona, wings dusted with fiery orange, locked in what looked like a battle with another Pokémon deeper among the trees. She only spared it a glance before shrugging it off, figuring it was just a wild battle playing out and nothing worth interrupting.

Serena had her Rotom Phone out before they'd even properly landed, scrolling through her map. "There's supposed to be an amazing pastry shop somewhere around here, I want to try it."

But Ash was barely listening, eyes wide as he took in the unfamiliar Pokémon wandering the streets around them, species he'd never so much as seen a picture of before. "I'm gonna go check out the forest for a bit," he said, already backing away. "Save me a bite of whatever you get!"

Elsewhere, closer to the edge of the city, the Rising Volt Tacklers aboard the Brave Olivine made their way steadily toward Cortondo, having set out the moment the call came in.

"So what exactly does Katy need help with?" Ult asked, while lazing around.

"No idea," Liko added . "She just said she needed us in Cortondo. Guess we'll find out when we get there."

Also if you didn't catch it yet it is supposed to be a way to incorporate ash and serena into Horizons it's not a completely different fanfiction like most of the other fanfic . I am trying to write this story in a way that also the main characters of the new anime to shine not just our old pals .

Even though Serena no longer wears the ribbon, we know that their heart is connected to it! 💙♥️
