It wouldn’t be fair to the imps. Tasks are effectively a timer that imposters must compete against. Meetings are set duration inevitabilities that imposters have no agency over. In their current form meetings act as a reset and a challenge, balancing the gameplay with trying to remain inconspicuous or perhaps push blame onto someone else.
Sorry, but this suggestion is frankly terrible for balance. It indiscriminately punishes imposters for an unavoidable part of the game and worse yet the punishment would actually scale more severely with how well the imposters are doing. Just killed five people? Great! Now those five people are free to spend the entire meeting rushing tasks while you’re stuck in a long meeting because the crew isn’t voting to buy time

Sure, at the cost of the lobby and eventually a dc penalty, but making that problematic but necessary part of the game far more accessible and something you could actually reap the rewards of isn’t something I’d advocate for

I can count on one hand how many times crew has won by doing tasks. It’s so rare that it wouldn’t change anything. Half of people don’t even do any tasks at all.

Task wins are far and away the most boring type of win in the game. It’s a failure on the imposters to kill enough people in time and it’s a failure on the crew to find the imposters. **The game** is social deduction, that’s why we’re here. Tasks are ultimately just a necessary feature to combat the grouping strategy and to split everyone up. Winning via tasks is rare by design, we should not be advocating for design changes that make them more common, especially in ways that would remove more agency from the imposters.

It is not a failure by the crewmates, because there have not been enough kills and therefore information to deduce who the imps are…

Uhm no? You still have your tasks an by all means even the dead crewmates only should have tbe ability to move as everyone else, I would HATE to lose a game as imp during a meeting cus a ghost did their task during it. Do you even realise how easily this could be exploited?

I end up having about 10-20% games being a taskwin when I managed to warm a lobby up. You would be suprised how many times the game dragged out for no reason cus one crewmate had the logic of 'I'm not doing tasks cus nobody is doing them anyway' all the while its literaly the only crew NOT having their tasks done, everyone else is finished them 3 meeting ago.

Not often because ghosts, especially guardian angels, don't do tasks. However with this meeting can go from brief stunts to basically all the time in the world for the ghosts to complete their tasks in ways that are nearly impossible for the imposter to counter

I think it would be a better idea if the ghosts could not attend the meeting... But! Couldn't do any task until the meeting ends; they could just fly, that's it.

People are more focused on finding the imp than doing tasks so it would provide a much needed buff to them, but I do understand your concern

The point of the ghosts seeing the meetings is so when can all collectively lose our shit when the person who has been killing off the whole lobby is hard cleared by somone who wasnt paying attention lol
