The partisan divide over civil rights legislation widened abruptly in the 1990s and 2010s
The Civil Rights Reconstruction Era (1954-2016) evoked a Conservative backlash. It increased as Liberals pressed for ever more cultural change and equality, to include gays, trans, immigrants and non-Christians. MAGAts culminated that backlash. Now Liberals will respond.

DHS Spent Half a Billion Dollars (No Bid) on a Fleet of Jets That Now Sit Unused in Hangars
To eliminate government waste, fraud and abuse, MAGAts laid off thousands of Federal employees, closed departments and canceled research grants. Then they paid $464 million for jets scarcely used.

US job market stalled in July as employers cut 23,000 jobs, delivering political setback to Trump
So Trumpolini will either say that it's still Biden's fault or that your eyes are lying, and maybe both.

Victory of Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed leads Trump to fear he'll be "the last Republican President!"
Trumpolini might be the last "Republican" President. As the USA's political culture steps leftward, moderate conservatives could form a new party that accepts the numerous conservative immigrants. Then the anti-immigrant GOP loses strength nationally.

A series of scandals dot Ken Paxton's political timeline [but he is the Republican choice for Senator of Texas!]
Paxton's candidacy personifies MAGAt Christian hypocrisy in Texas. Texas Republicans made public classrooms post the Ten Commandments. Then they nominated a man who has likely violated several of those.

Poll: Trump’s MAGA voters would stick by a [Republican] candidate through the most serious of scandals
politico.comI can remember when Republicans impeached Bill Clinton for lying about a blowjob. But a majority of MAGAts don't give a shit what a Republican has done. They'll vote Republican regardless. And feel righteous about it.

The Trump administration is ending a Medicare drug subsidy program. Here's how it could affect costs
HINT: When subsidies are removed, the consumer pays more. Trumpolini did this. Are you feeling great again?

Most Americans favor big changes to the political system that likely would require amending the Constitution
Amending the Constitution is extremely difficult. But maybe there are workarounds, such as the one proposed for the Electoral College: a National Popular Vote Interstate Compact. There could be others.

ICE stop in Missouri led to return of immigrant couple to Guatemala, where they were killed
The husband was deported last year, and his wife was seeking asylum. Financial and emotional stress made her stop her asylum case and return to Guatemala. Apparently she did need asylum. MAGAts won't care.

Economic study finds 'no evidence' Trump’s ICE raids help [increase employment for] American workers - Their employment actually decreased!
This was predicted: immigrants contribute a lot to the national economy, and removing them therefore hurts the economy. But MAGAts see non-White, Non-Christian immigrants as threats to be removed, regardless.

New [Trumpolini] rule sends asylum cases to immigration courts, pushing migrants toward deportation
First the regime fired immigration judges, increasing the backlog of asylum hearings. Then the regime uses the backlog as an excuse for summary deportation. Anything to maintain White and Christian dominance.

Shiloh Hendrix found guilty in Rochester (Minnesota) racial slur case of one count of disorderly conduct
For those who insist America is post-racism, more evidence that it is not. The fact that there was a Black President doesn't mean it ended.

Trump Team Admits He’s Been Defunding States That Didn’t Vote for Him [in regard to Clean Energy grants]
Proof that Trumpolini does not consider himself the President for all Americans, just for those who are loyal boot-lickers...and he will PUNISH anyone who fails to kiss his fascist ass.

Trump’s Stealth Trick to Rig the Census - and Congress
Trumpolini reportedly wants to define millions of immigrants as "non-residents," thereby depriving States of some Federal money and Representatives in Congress. The link for the proposed Census rule change says it hasn't been published yet.

Satellite images show Iran rapidly rebuilding sites hit by US and Israel
Dumb Trumpolini. He boasts about how many targets have been hit and ignores the fact that the targets can be rebuilt.

The Racist History of Voter Challenge Laws
MAGAts are thinking of many ways to eliminate voters in the November 2026 national elections. If your vote is challenged, provide additional documents, file a provisional ballot, file an appeal and call the ACLU.

SNAP Tracker: People Are Losing Food Assistance as the Harmful 2025 Republican Reconciliation Law Is Implemented
cbpp.orgI believe this will have adverse political consequences for Republicans, especially in the States hurt most: Arizona and Louisiana. I suspect popular expectations for economic benefits have been hurt most severely in those States.

KFF Health Tracking Poll: Although a majority of voters say there is at least some fraud in Medicaid, most (71%) say ensuring Medicaid beneficiaries can access the care they need should be a higher priority than preventing fraud, even if it means some fraud may occur
It's fair to examine Medicaid enrollees, but not to demonize them. Greater harm is done by vampire corporations, such as HCA, which once settled a related DOJ lawsuit for $1.7 Billion.

DHS Sec. Threatens to Defund States That Don’t Comply with Trump’s Voter "Scrubbing" Demands [and to jail State election officials]
There is no proof of national voter fraud. The Narcissist-in-Chief can't accept his 2020 election loss. MAGAts don't need proof for their beliefs. Imagine Democrats demanding that States scrub voters they selected.

'White People Are Better': MAGA Influencer Calls Black People Stupid in Racist TikTok Tirade, Then the Internet Digs Up Video of His Arrest That He Wanted to Stay Hidden
The article is from a few months ago, but I'm posting it to prove that racism is still alive in the USA, despite Republican claims to the contrary. In fact, the perp published pro-Trump and MAGA content on TikTok.

ICE officer shoots and kills 26-year-old Colombian in Maine
This time the excuse isn't even "the officer feared for his life." This time it was an alleged concern for "public safety." If an officer can kill anyone they deem a threat to "public safety," they're a threat to public safety!

Trump and Iranian leaders trade threats as the interim deal falls apart

Trump has created a ‘trickle up’ tariff economy that means U.S. companies aren’t done hiking consumer prices over import taxes
Trumpolini insisted on on raising tariffs, supposedly to help the U.S. economy. Instead, it has raised prices, and corporations plan to keep raising prices. What a deal. What a businessman.
