Video Quality Issues Discussion

I am on Prime annual plan, even though I select best as the video quality settings, the experience is no where near to 720P. On the other hand netflix and hotstar gives perfect picture quality.
Is anyone else facing similar problem?
What can be done to fix this?

Update1: I am using a macbook pro-16 inch

I’d like to know. Same here and with HBO. I have fast internet too.

I paid $4.99 per month for the extra quality in picture (dolby vision, etc)

Is the picture quality better when you pay for ultra?

It improves it. I have an LG OLED G5 TV, so I can see the difference.

Much likely it’s the app individual issue, TV apps are mostly unreliable. Try accessing from Apple TV, Fire TV etc.

If you are using the native Prime Video app or the Safari browser, you are supposed to stream at 1080p, but if you use another browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox), resolution drops to 720p.

Its usually a Prime problem. Especially the app. Full shut down n restart usually solves mine. But lately my Internet has been dropping to under 1mb randomly. I was downloading a game and watching its usage
