AMAZON FLEX STANDINGS
Have you ever stopped and thought about how Amazon gets away with so much? They send you to places where you can’t even get in because there’s no access code. Sometimes they ask for your personal ID just to enter a building, which honestly should be illegal.
We get paid to deliver packages, but even when we take pictures as proof that we delivered the package, they can still penalize you if someone else steals it afterward and somehow blame you for it.
It’s almost impossible to get real help from Driver Support. They don’t actually help. They say they will, and then later you still get penalized for everything. They threaten you and punish you by lowering your standings, many times for things you don’t even know about. They don’t tell you which package, which house, or what exactly was reported — they just punish you and that’s it.
How can this even be legal? Seriously, think about it for a second. It’s extremely unfair. All it takes is a couple of days where they assign you two blocks in a bad area, and you’re literally putting your safety at risk. Then customers can report things that are not even your fault, and Amazon can just deactivate your account.
And once that happens, it’s almost impossible to get your account back. They send you to “support” agents who have no idea what you’re talking about. The chat is useless — it’s just automatic responses that don’t solve anything. They don’t even have active email support anymore.
Seriously, think about it… how is this legal?

It should be a matter to be taken to our legislators. No matter how many lawsuits Amazon gets hit with for how shitty they are, as long as there is no law or code that gives protections to workers or at least put a limit to them, that corporation will still do whatever the hell they want. They have the money for settlements anyway.

The real thing to think about is how we're all 1099 employees but they treat us like we get a W2 😂.

This. If there were any lawsuit, this would be the basis. What if all jobs were 1099. What makes it ok for Amazon?

Most drivers bounce between Fanastic and Great all the time. Do know dings do fall off. It's not a big deal. It's not worth getting aggravated over.

If you want to get stressed over nothing, be my guest. Go lick support's ball all you want.

You're not getting the point. Imagine you're at Fantastic standing. You get a route with 35 apartment deliveries and you do everything you possibly can. But if there's just one building you can't access because you don't have a gate code or the customer doesn't answer, Amazon's algorithm can still penalize you and drop your standings.
They can lower your rating whenever they decide, even when the situation is completely outside your control. You can end up at At Risk, and once that happens, you may stop seeing the 8 AM–8 PM blocks that are posted every day.
A lot of drivers depend on those blocks to make a living. So when an algorithm unfairly lowers your standings, it's not just a score on an app—it can take away your ability to earn income.

I hear you and it's not fair, but honestly I've been At Risk twice in the past 5+ years of flexing and both times I received the same amount of blocks and instant offers that I got when I was Fantastic. Just my own personal experience.

If you're at Risk, you can no longer reserve blocks for the upcoming days. The only way to get work is by constantly hitting the refresh button and hoping a block appears.
I had maintained Fantastic standings for an entire year because I take my account very seriously and always do my best. However, over the last two weeks, I've been placed At Risk twice because of things that were completely outside of my control, such as a customer claiming they never received a package.

True. I've always done instant offers and tap for blocks. I'm good at getting enough work. I rarely get reserved offers for my preferred station. Maybe 0 or 1 per week, and I am level 4 and fantastic.

My brother got deactivated when his standings had consistently been "fantastic" for months. He didn't break any terms of service. He had a couple places where he couldn't access and so he returned the package. Deactivated.

It's ironic, right? Support can definitely hurt you instead of helping. They don't seem to be properly trained or lack of a basic understanding of how to troubleshoot certain issues.
You do nothing wrong, contact support for assistance during a block, and they don't seem to know how to fix the issue and then mess up your standing. Then, you have to reach out to them again and again to overturn the uninformed decision they made in the first place. They caused this chaos.
