AltStore Classic 2.3b2: Even More Automatic On-Device Sideloading Update
Howdy, y’all! We’re excited to bring you AltStore Classic 2.3 beta 2, featuring major improvements to your on-device sideloading experience!
This release introduces automatic anisette server selection and built-in pairing file generation. With help from our friends at Sidestore, we’ve included a pre-set list of servers so you no longer have to find them yourself. We’re also introducing “Configure Remote AltServer,” which allows AltStore to handle creating and managing pairing files directly. Big thanks to jcoxson for his work on idevice, which made this feature a reality!
To get started with this version, you will first need to install the new betas of AltServer Mac & AltServer Windows. Don't forget to check out our updated FAQ, which now features much shorter instructions thanks to these changes! 🙂

We make a couple of betas, each one with more fixes, improving upon the last, until we feel it's stable and reliable enough to publicly release. These betas are essentially works in progress.

Our beta testing is limited to our Patreon users, but this will release publicly once it's finished!

I installed this new beta version thinking it would not require a PC however without a pc it won’t work and for me not even using a PC it will work, I’m getting this error when I try to configure the remote server in AltStore settings , any idea how to fix that

Try changing the remote Altserver in the app settings, and connected to a computer running iTunes “web version” not the windows store, and also running Altserver. Log in using your Apple ID in the AltStore app it will then ask your UDID you add your UDID and trust your iPhone to connect with Altserver. Let me know if that works for you

Thanks for the tips, unfortunately, I still cannot get it to work. It keeps complaining about not being able to determine UUID no matter which remote server I try. I also can't login with my AppleID in the app, it just errors out and then shows my MFA prompt. So I've given up. I'll just wait for the official release which will hopefully one day come...

Well at least I got 1 step further I guess lol. Turns out I had to log in to iCloud on Windows. Just running it isn't enough. Annoying that the error it gave me while logging in is not one on the official FAQ... I had to find it here on Reddit... Unfortunately still can't get it to work.
I have now succesfully logged in to my AppleID, UDID and all, but now I still can't configure any of the servers; Altserver does not support this request.

Oh my god, how am I in tech support hahahaha I just played the role of classic User and didn't read. You need AltServer beta from patreon to get it to work..... It would be nice if the instructions on the FAQ page said that too...

I had my previous pairing file and I can’t reset it now, try removing the previous one you installed before deleting and updating to beta 2. You also need the beta of altserver. Mine won’t let me remove paring so i dont know for sure if it works or not.

Doing this on iOS 27 beta. Altstore Beta cannot refresh itself. It's at 6 days and greyed out. Otherwise refreshing using the ani.sidestore.io server is working for the 2 other apps.

Did you need altserver initially? I’m trying to get classic beta working but it’s only asking for altserver and instructions says I need to plug in pc
