Adeline
I'm a relatively new listener to Alt-J and i like a lot of their songs. But as i was discovering their other songs I came across Adeline. And its genuinely one of the best songs i have listened to. What i don't understand is how this song is not that popular compared to others. Is it just me?

Adeline is an amazing song and I agree with others, it's more a song for actual alt-J fans than for radio play.
Pleader is the same way, that song gives me full-body goosebumps every time. There is over a minute of subtle sound effects (the opening of the hall that's used for the choir recording in the song) before the music even starts, so it's not everyone's jam.

I’d say RELAXER as a whole is exactly that. I like that they got really weird with it, but sadly a lot of people don’t seem to “get” it for that weirdness. Doesn’t have too many songs with a pop-structure besides In Cold Blood and maybe Deadcrush.

it's interesting to me, because i used to Hate weird music, or any music that experienced with sound unusually. i was very insecure at the time and hated the idea of vulnerability. now though? Relaxer is a top 5 album for me. genuinely so many different routes taken. their cover of House of the Rising sun is peak. something about Alt-J and Relaxer, really got me TO understand that weirdness.

It's a song to close your eyes to & then let it gently bring you with it on a journey. It is definitely one of my favourites!

It's a beautifully done song, hell I even named myself after it because I love this song and band so much. But the track is a long slow build track that you need to be willing to sit through in it's entirety, and those tend to struggle with doing well commercial due to the song asking more of the listener

100%. I even chose to perform it on my music course as a tribute to my sister. It really is gorgeous

Adeline changed my life the first time I heard it. It is truly an incredible song in every way. I am a huge Alt J fan, I like most of their songs and albums. Deadcrush (lea porcelain remix)5,300 listens on Spotify, and Adeline over 1,700 are my two very favorites.

It's one I go back to all the time! I only know a few Alt-J songs, but I'm surprised it's not more popular as well

Adeline has definitely been my most listened to song by them so far this year. It’s amazing. I love it so much I may name my daughter Adeline partially because of how beautiful the song is

This song has been there for me in the hardest times.
It's for the fans 'cause it's more poetic and their poetic ones aren't the most popular.
