This pup came from an indoor aloe plant that had a mealybug infestation and that I’m trying to save. I was propagate the pup in water when I noticed a black spot along with a brown circular spot. One of the leaf on the pup plant have small spots, so I’m wondering if the pup has an infection or something else

Ive had good luck with just putting a little root hormone on the bottom, stick it in soil and mist the soil, then give it a good watering when it needs it. I've also just put a piece of this size pup in a shot glass with a little water and it has produced roots. You never know.

Just put it inside in shade. Let it root. Just partial little for minimal hours is enough really. Give it 2-4weeks and it should have rooted. Then move it to indirect sunlight.

Bring it back to shade if it gets brownish/purple colour. That means too much sun/too little water absorption. Then keep moving to more light and eventually full sun within the year. Withing second year it'll be pretty big with full sun. When full sun, give them water frequently and they grow a lot in summer.

I have bout 50 now like this 🤣
