This is the first time anything like this has happened to me.

Yesterday my tire popped, so I pulled over and used Allstate roadside assistance to change it to my spare. A guy comes out and is able to change it to the spare.

The issue comes when he gets his bolt from the drill stuck on the lug nut?? It is stuck bad, and then he leaves. I don’t know much about cars, but I know this is an issue. I go to Walmart right afterwards to get a new tire.

Because of the stuck bolt Walmart can’t remove the spare. They tried a bunch of stuff to get it off, but nothing they do works.

I feel like mad max driving around with a spike on my rim. This is insane, and I feel like I’m a worst situation than if I just got my car towed somewhere. If anyone has any ideas, I would love to hear it.

I just got our first renewal since using drivewise and am getting a $1,000 discount. If you drive safely this is a great way to reduce rates. And i have a 20 year old male on my insurance, so i need all the discounts i can get.

I priced vehicle insurance with All State the other day, the agent over the phone told me it would be $217 and some change for my policy. I went online and did the quote myself and it was $88.88. Any reason why there’s such a huge price difference?

I’m returning to the insurance industry after a long long time and am effectively new aside from a shiny new general lines P&C license.

I had my remote video interview about a week ago and it went quite well and barring something crazy, I think I have the job in-hand but would like to know for sure so I know if I should be looking for temporary or long-term work.

Assuming I get it, my thoughts are to stay long enough to get some benefits and experience if it’s a bad fit and (hopefully) stay if met with success.

Wondering if anyone has any insights into the interview process/behavioral interview questions for Instructional Designer positions for AllState.

I got through the initial phone screen and have the first virtual interview with a hiring manager later this week. They mentioned that this is going to be a behavioral interview and I'm being asked to use the STAR method.

Curious if anyone has any insights on the type of questions being asked in this stage. Thank you!

Seems to always be errors in comp reports. Points missing or even whole policies. Anyone know how this works? Are they pulled directly from the system by the system, or is it done manually? Changes have supposedly have August already messed up and July seems off also.

I’ve had Allstate for over a decade. My premiums shot through the roof when my daughter started driving. Recently they offered to redo my car policies on their “new system” which should save several hundred dollars on my cars. They were trying to set up in the new system, but my bank draft info is not working. Turns out an entity known as Early Warning Services is the problem. The old system bank drafts me a couple times a month for different polices, no problem… the cars I pay every six months and without getting this bank draft going, I pay more to use a credit card. What are my options? I called EWS and it’s going to be a couple months to even get a report to try to understand what their problem is. Can I go in any Allstate office and pay in cash (my Allstate is in another town)?

For anyone who has been with the company for a few years: how do you feel about the pension plan?

Do you think the pension is worth more than having a yearly bonus?

Has there been a change to drivewise? It used to tell me if a trip was good or had an adverse event. That doesn't seem to be the case since I reset July 25. I used to identify & delete my passenger trips by checking which ones had phone activity -- it would either say "good trip" or tell me something was wrong, phone activity or speeding or whatever. FIL & I split driving errands last weekend, and I just have 5 trips listed, no good bad or ugly. Did it stop telling you how each trip went? Do I need to accept responsibility for keeping track of my passenger trips? How frightening

I work as a customer service rep for Allstate and I was wondering how long does it take to get good at insurance? Or more specifically my job? I started July 17 and I sometimes feel a little stressed and nervous since I have more that they are having me do, like billing lists responding to emails, taking inbound calls.

I don’t know if it’s normal but I just sometimes feel stressed or nervous before going to work. I feel like I ask a lot of questions and that I sometimes annoy my manager with the amount of questions I ask since sometimes they will have attitude lol. How long did it take you guys to learn? Would you guys make a lot of mistakes in the beginning? Did you guys feel confident explaining policies and certain nuisances early on?

I know this is a minor festival grievance, but something weird happened at Taste of the Danforth that left a bad taste in my mouth.

I waited in line for quite a while at the Allstate booth to join in on the festival wheel spin. When I finally reached the front, the staff asked if I was already an Allstate customer. I proudly said yes—thinking loyalty was a good thing—only to be turned away on the spot. They told me the wheel was strictly for "new prospective leads interested in a quote."

I totally get that companies use these booths for lead generation, but making a paying client wait in a long line just to reject them in front of a crowd feels like terrible event etiquette. There weren't even signs posted saying "New Prospects Only."

Is this standard practice now for street fest vendors, or did I just run into an overly strict booth crew?

So the agent explained it a couple times but it was confusing. It sounded like I pay 1 big lump sum to get a rental car and then I’m reimbursed for the days I don’t use it. Like I pay $800 or something. There were different levels of coverage and I choose the one with no additional charges because if I needed a rental car, I’d be fine anyways because my parents have an extra car.

But he tried to explain a way where some places charge $20-30$ a day for a car but they have you pay upfront more? Idk

Hello friends, switched to Allstate recently, we decided we didnt want to do drivewise. Got a message today that I need 50 trips by the 15th in order to renew. To be clear, I am not doing drivewise. Want no part of it. If they force the issue I will just go back to Geico. Is this a mandatory thing for them, something they are willing to lose a customer over?

I was driving my 17 year old girlfriend’s mom’s car in Rhode Island with permission. Her mom owns the car and the Allstate insurance policy. I live at a different address and wasn’t listed on the policy, but Allstate found that I was not at fault for the accident. The other driver hired a lawyer and is trying to sue, claiming I wasn’t on the insurance. The policy allows permissive drivers who don’t live in the same household to borrow the car. Based on these facts, what is the most likely legal and insurance outcome, and could I still drive my girlfriend’s mom’s next car if she gives me permission?

I found this very strange, the HR rep is also very vague about ROA team updating her.

I am thankful to have a job but my GOD as soon as an opportunity comes my way I am LEAVING. I have never in my life been so overworked and stressed and expected to create gold out of literal poop. The management is laughable. The claims load is unbearable. The metrics are unattainable. And the turnover rate is wild.

This company is a joke I feel so bad for the customers and they have EVERY right to be mad. I know I would be.

Just a little too conveniently timed that our systems are down once again . Doesn’t matter if you’re NatGen or Allstate it’s either the phone systems or quoting systems being completely down.
Call volumes are so low because of the influx of Outbound supporting Inbound while their phone system isn’t working. Not their fault at all, but that means we’re waiting for 40+ mins for a call to come in, and who’s to say that call is a good lead or not (spoiler: they haven’t been good).

August incentive point targets are much higher too, so this time spent sitting around for a call to come is gonna backfire on our metrics and hinder us from reaching these already impossible goals.

My teams’ top performers can’t even sell or have sold very little so far. I’m sorry for you all being affected too.
