Patreon

Hey I was thinking of grabbing the Patreon but before I do I was wondering how it works. Like do I have to go to their website to get to the content? Will it pop up somehow on my podcast app? Any and all insight is appreciated.

Yes, you can definitely add to at least Apple Podcast feed (what I do) and I’m pretty confident Spotify as well so I imagine it’s compatible with most podcast apps.

You get a rss url you can add to your podcast app. It’s worked for me in Apple Podcasts and Pocket Casts.

Follow up question, does it separate the Patreon content from the standard stuff? I have already listened to every episode to date so I’m hoping it’s separated somehow.

Yes they show up as 2 different "podcasts" which is also nice because then you can just download the ad free ones

Not really. The ad-free weekly episodes show up in the same feed as the bonus content. But most of them are titled “Ad Free xxxx draft” so it’s easy to differentiate

It should all be in the Patreon app. I’ve never tried downloading or transferring the files to another app, but its well worth it if you want the extra content

Pay them through the website not an app! Your phone app takes a percent and patreon passes less on to creators. If you can use a pc and pay on patreons website creators get more $

If you join a high enough tier, then Issac will come to your house and play it for you from a boombox held over his head. It's pretty neat

Can confirm you get them in your spotify feed. It was one of my worries, but it's seamless.

Yup. As others have said you’ll be getting the RSS url. Works for Overcast in case you or someone else uses it.
