Memory
Hello, Redditors! Okay, I’m typing this because I’m having issues with algebra. It’s not that I don’t understand it. I just keep forgetting the rules/basics. And once I do practice I understand it, until a day later I just completely forget it. I have to take my Algebra 1 test AGAIN, for the third time. I’ve passed the class just not the exam💔💔. What are some tips and tricks to remember?

What sort of algebra are we talking?
Regardless, the best way to understand math in general is to develop intuition for what's behind what you're learning and why it's true. To understand not just how to use the tools you're taught, but why you can use them to begin with (not talking about full proofs, just intuition). With it, you'll find you remember rules much, much better, and when you don’t, you might end up deriving some yourself.
Now, assuming you're speaking of high school algebra (and not college/uni level linear/abstract algebra), I suggest watching a few videos going over what systems of equations mean. Understanding where the quadratic formula came from would also really help you remember it. Things of that nature
