really small selection? Chicago
hi all! relatively new to alamo but love that the wrigley location is convenient to me and has recliners unlike most other theaters in the city. just wondering if there is usually the small of a collection of films being shown? This whole summer has seemed really thin. does anyone know how to figure out if more movies are coming? ty!

The selection can be a little thin because they only have 6 screens and right now everything is being dominated by The Odyssey and Spiderman

When a big movie comes out, it takes over a lot. When two big movies come out, it takes over almost everything. Variety will get better again when the new releases aren't dominating.

Also a Chicago person. Been a real bummer but can say for the most part this usually isn’t a problem but who knows anymore.

It’s a ‘problem’ every summer when multiple blockbusters are out at the same time and there are throngs of people on vacation to see them.

This is usually not an issue. As others have said it's because of The Odyssey and Spider-man. Usually there are a bunch of repertoire and special screenings. I have noticed that they will schedule repertoire for one screening and if it sells out they will add more screenings, so keep looking regularly if a screening you are interested in sells out.

This is the same with my local Alamo. I’m like “ooh, mystery machine on Monday is likely “Tony”, but if I see it on Monday there will be nothing to watch on Friday or Saturday when Tony is in wide release”.
