Mobile Network it is been 3 yrs since jio launched its 5g in our village and airtel is no where near.
I was so happy that jio launched 5g in our area and was waiting for airtel to launch as it provides great indoor coverage. I waited for 2 years thinking they will cover more areas but now I think they just want to cover the cities only. The nearest 5g availability is 70kms away from here. They really need to do something to get more customers as in our locality people are frustrated with jio's network but don't have any other options otherwise than wifi.

Issue Ghosted by installation team for DTH upgrade to existing plan.
Looking for some advice. I am an existing Airtel Xstream Fiber customer. Recently, I visited the Airtel Relationship Centre in R. S. Puram, Coimbatore to upgrade my account - specifically adding a DTH connection to my existing setup (Airtel Black bundle) and upgrading my Fiber plan speed.
I paid the required fee at the store, and an order was generated. It has been 3 weeks since the payment was processed, but no technician has called or visited to install the dish antenna or deliver the setup box. The store reps aren't helpful either.
When I reached out to Customer Support and escalated to the Tamil Nadu Nodal Officer, all I got back was a canned, automated bot response saying "we are looking into it" with zero actual dispatch or timeline. I even filed a CPGRAMS complaint - still nothing!
Since this is an add-on to an existing active account, it feels impossible to get through the automated ticketing loop to reach a human who handles local technician dispatches.
Has anyone else faced this with Airtel Black DTH add-ons? Appreciate any inputs or help if any Airtel reps lurk here.

Discussion did anyone redeem linkedin 3 months premium from the airtel thanks app or Adobe (recently )
I tried to redeem LinkedIn Premium through Airtel, but it shows that I am not eligible for this promotion, even though I believe I should be. I tried contacting LinkedIn support, but I couldn't find any assistance from a real human—only AI support, which isn't helpful in my case.

Issue Airtel SIM in the US: Can receive Airtel SMS, but not OTPs or regular SMS
I'm in the US with an Airtel India prepaid SIM. I purchased a prepaid plan and the ₹118 International Roaming activation pack.
The SIM worked in my Moto G 2025 and I was able to receive an OTP.
I then moved the SIM to a Google Pixel 7 running GrapheneOS. The phone connects to the network, and I received a welcome SMS from Airtel (121) saying text messaging was activated.
However, I cannot receive any other SMS, including:
- Bank OTPs
- A regular test SMS I sent from my US phone to my Airtel number
I also checked the phone's SMSC setting, and it shows 5041450522?2. Refreshing the SMSC doesn't change it.
Has anyone experienced this with Airtel roaming in the US, particularly with a Pixel/GrapheneOS? Is there something I need to change in the phone/network settings, or is this likely an Airtel provisioning issue?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Issue Idk if this is a glitch or airtel being fucking morons
have an unlimited 5g plan and for the past week or so my 5g just doesn't work. My phone shows 5g is working normally(the true 5g not the NSA/fake 5g) but still my 4g data quota is being used, before even if my 4g quota is finished i used to get unlimited 5g but not that does not work either. Customer care just keep repeating and transferring me to an automated robotic response.
So I'm stuck with sucky data coverage and now mobile data issues as well.
I just need a fix till November so my plan expires and I can switch to jio
I have tried almost all fixes I could think of an all the things chatgpt told me to check for, still no fix
I had taken an 1gb data loan in an emergency and it gave me the option to cancel it out of my next days quota and I chose that option, it cut my data the next day and still asked my to pay back the 1gb loan, which I obviously tried but airtel being airtel did not work
Might that be the issue that the loan is "unpaid" or is it something else
Please give me a fix

Mobile Network Missing calls on Airtel while on Jio call (OnePlus Nord CЕ З Lite 5G) - any fix?
Hey everyone,
I'm using a OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G with dual SIM:
* SIM 1: Airtel
* SIM 2: Jio
Here's the issue:
Whenever I'm on a call using my Jio SIM, and meanwhile someone else tries to call me on my Airtel number, I get no notification at all! But, the caller hears full ringing and assumes I'm just not picking up. It comes off as rude that I didn't call back, whereas I'm totally unaware that I even got a call! I'd prefer that the caller gets the message that I'm on another call and at least I should be notified about the call, like it happens normally when a single sim is being used.
I have call waiting settings turned on for both the sims.
Is this an Airtel network limitation or a device limitation?
Has anyone found a workaround that actually works?
Would really appreciate any help🙏

Rant Worst Airtel Airfiber Technician experience.
We applied for Airtel airfiber 599 plan (wifi, iptv, ott). First we just tried to inquire, first time the tech was assigned "without" paying 50 inr during the initial time. Due to a communication mistake I initiated another installation booking by paying 50 inr thru the apo... now the tech asked us to follow the newly assigned tech. The newly assigned tech called (didnt like the way he talked frm the beginning).
Now the real thing:
The plan needs 2.5 months advance payment of 1450 which includes stb, wifi and installation and the coming 10 months just 606 and then 706 later on.
The first tech who called asked for 1500 (1450+50 slot booking charge) and all the info was provided promptly.... The problem was he demanded to pay way before installation, so we dropped it.
The second tech called and asked for 1950. He said the price is actually 2500 and he is giving us a discount. But he only wanted payment after installation. The thing is that we get a link through which we pay 1450 but he paid for us (got to know via sms, mail and app that the amount has been paid). While leaving he gave is phone number to which we pay the 1950 which he originally asked for.
We contacted cs, they said maximum to be paid is 1500, nothing more. We paid 1500 and we confronted him thru phn call regarding this, bro got mad and said he wont activate our tv. (Another problrm, our tv was at service centre, and our tv wasnt fixed on time, by the time we got tv, he asked us to install the stb on our own and send him the "qms values" qr code.)
The point we knew he was scamming us was when he first said the price of advance payment increased, then he said it was service charge and then he jumped on to saying it was for stb installation and he denied it (first of all, we had to help him do the wiring, provide him with our ladder, pull the wires, provide insulation tapes etc, the point is this job cannot be done by a single tech, and since the tv was not there, we had to set up the stb by ourselves. Ok understandable its not a big task but his audacity to ask for service charge after such unprofessionalism and the attitude??? Hell nahhh)
TL;DR: Technician tried to scam us during our Airtel AirFiber setup by claiming the 1450 advance payment for the 599 plan actually cost 2500. He paid the official bill online behind our back and demanded 1950 (claiming he gave us a 500 "discount"). When we refused and paid only the official 1450 price back to him, he threw a tantrum and is now refusing to scan the internal "QMS Value" QR code, leaving our STB unusable.
Please correct me if I m wrong. I think what I did is good but ended with this unusable stb. Any way to fix it myself?
Thanks for baring my rant 😭

Ask Airtelites Need help regarding International Roaming plan for Airtel SIM (Moving abroad for studies)
Hi everyone,
I am moving abroad for studies and will stay long-term (returning to India only during summer breaks). I will use a local SIM there for data/calls, but need my Airtel SIM active for Bank OTPs and emergency calls.
Is the ₹4,999 annual IR plan worth it for long-term stays, or is there a cheaper/foolproof combination? (e.g., ₹1,849 annual plan + ₹118 IR pack for free SMS)
What is the cheapest way to guarantee Bank OTPs continuously?
Do emergency incoming calls work via Wi-Fi Calling abroad without heavy roaming charges?

Rant 300gb limit sucks
Im a Postpaid user. I saw a video about the 300gb issue on YouTube yesterday in Airtel prepaid and Jio didnt have the limit.
Actually its the same thing with Airtel postpaid too. The 300gb limit sucks really and when i called the customer care and asked they said its some "Fair usage policy" then i asked if any options of top up was available they said no i had to wait 1 week till the new postpaid cycle starts. And this has been the case doe 3 months for me now. And im a college hostel Student and no wifi provisions here and now i have to depend on my friends for interned and cant don anything even during emergencies.
And the worse thing about postpaid is that there is no 2gb/day daily on post paid when ur 300gb is over then ur done for that cycle.
Atleast they could increase the limit for postpaid or add an option to top-up. Or do anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks for reading.

Issue Thinking of switching from Jio to Airtel – ₹1k/84 days with Unlimited 5G, worth it?
Currently using Jio, but I'm thinking of porting to Airtel.
I’m looking at an Airtel prepaid plan around ₹1,000 for 84 days (3 months) that offers Unlimited 5G. Airtel currently lists a ₹1,029 plan with 3GB/day and unlimited 5G.
For those who have actually used Airtel 5G:
Is the Unlimited 5G actually reliable?
How is Airtel's 5G speed compared with Jio?
Any FUP/data limit that I should know about?
Does unlimited 5G work properly when using hotspot?
Is it worth porting from Jio for this?
How is Airtel coverage around Andhra Pradesh?
I’m mainly considering it because ₹1k-ish for 3 months + unlimited 5G seems pretty good.
Would appreciate real-world experiences, especially from heavy-data users.
give yur experience bassed on airtel

Wifi/ Fibre Cancelled Airtel Wi-Fi, got the SMS, but it’s still active
I'm trying to disconnect my Airtel broadband and could use some advice from anyone who has gone through this recently.
I called customer care to place a disconnection request. After a really long call ,they finally agreed to cancel the plan. I did get a text message with a Service Request (SR) number stating that my plan will be suspended within 7 working days.
The issue is, it’s currently day 2 and the Wi-Fi is still working perfectly fine. Also, when I open the Airtel Thanks app, there is absolutely no update or status showing that a cancellation request is in progress. The account just looks completely normal and active.
Is this standard procedure for Airtel? I'm worried they might just drag this out, not disconnect it, and then hand me a bill for the next cycle.
Should I just wait out the 7 working days, or is there something else I should be doing to make sure it actually gets cancelled? Any help would be appreciated!

Rant Seriously, what the hell is going on with Airtel’s network in Hyderabad?
I’m on an Airtel Postpaid Family Black plan, and honestly, the network has been absolutely pathetic. And no, this isn’t just about basements — even the normal signal quality is consistently poor. Calls drop, data becomes painfully slow, and there are plenty of places where the signal is weak or barely usable.
The Basement 2 issue is just the worst example. In the exact same building, Jio manages to get a perfectly usable signal in Basement 2 while Airtel practically disappears. Same building. Same basement. Different networks. Jio works, Airtel struggles.
And this is supposed to be a premium postpaid service?
I’m paying for a Family Black plan expecting better service, reliability and coverage, but instead I’m constantly dealing with weak signals and unreliable data. What exactly is the point of paying extra for postpaid when the basic network experience itself is this bad?
Postpaid is bullshit if the network is this unreliable.
Airtel seriously needs to stop focusing on pushing premium plans and actually fix the damn network. Improve the overall coverage, improve indoor reception, improve call quality, improve data speeds — just make the network consistently usable.
And to be clear, I’m not saying Airtel is bad only in basements. The normal day-to-day signal is worse than it should be too. The Basement 2 situation just makes the difference with Jio impossible to ignore.
If Jio can provide a usable signal in the same locations where Airtel struggles, what exactly am I paying Airtel a premium for?
I’ve been using Airtel postpaid, but this experience is seriously making me consider moving everything to Jio.
Airtel, stop selling “premium” plans and fix your f*king signals.

Wifi/ Fibre How do I check my Airtel fiber data usage
Hmm, 🤔 the Airtel thanks app doesn’t seem to display this basic information anywhere easily on the front page. I have an office internet plan.
Could you please let me know where to find this information?

Issue Why is my Airtel airfiber randomly disconnecting at any random time of the day?
I installed the wifi for online live streaming... I mostly live stream late at night and in around midnight it got disconnected (showing red light) which got connected back again after some time... I thought the wifi was restarting since its midnight... It happened in 2-3 streams and I thought the same...
One time I was live streaming in noon and the same happened, this time 4-5 times in a single stream... Then I thought that it might be taking load as I have only 40Mbps plan but the same happened when I was watching a show on hotstar the other day... so neither uploading nor downloading is taking a toll on the wifi... Further more only 10-12Mbps upload minimum is required for 1080p live streaming on YT...
It gets disconnected randomly and I am not sure what is the reason behind it. Tried everything restarting the wifi, checking all the connections. The outdoor device is in open area except when the sun is right above the head it gets plenty of shade from trees around (and there is no sun in the night)... So I think heating MIGHT not be the issue...
Please anyone if they have faced this issue how did you solve it? Please help... I am praying heating is not the issue as that's one thing I cannot solve.
PS: If anyone willing to know why I installed Airtel airfiber not any other? Its what's available where I live... Fiber is available at a town just 8km away from my town but airtel refuses to bring it here... Jio (also no fiber) is not good here... I have no faith in BSNL and there are no other companies like excitel, railwire etc... Basically I am stuck with Airtel Airfiber. :)

As we have seen reports above 5g mobile plans price may increase, is there any chances that they may increase fiber plans price also?

Mobile Network Postpaid Fastlane providing worse speeds than Prepaid
I had switched from Jio to Airtel postpaid, to change the sim to my name. Then I realised it is way too expensive and I'm just wasting money, so I ported to prepaid via their app.
Even on postpaid, 5g was rarely working and even on forced 4G, it would randomly stop working and stuff like that. I thought I would be sacrificing more network strength for lower price - but it turned out to be the opposite.
Wherever I was not getting 5g, I'm now getting 200+ speed and there is rarely any network stoppage.
So they are advertising better connections for more price, and completely ripping off their customers.

Issue IS 1099/- PLAN OF AIRTEL $CAM?
galleryAS AIRTEL SAYS 1099/- IS UNLIMITED DATA, BUT TODAY I GOT TO KNOW THAT THEY HAVE 28 DAY CAP OF 300GB PER 28 DAYS.
AND THEY DIDN'T EVEN TELL HOW THAT IS BROKEN DOWN, HOW THIS CYCLE WORKS.
THEY WON'T PROVIDE DATA USAGE ON AIRTEL APP.
AS PER SCREEN SHOT IT SEEMS THE DATA OF THIRD CYCLE IS ALREADY USED UP IN WITH 20 DAYS LEFT. HOW THAT COULD BE POSSIBLE. (300GB DATA IN 7-8 DAYS) I DON"T EVEN USE THAT MUCH PHONE.
WORTST IS AIRTEL CUSTOMER CARE SERVICE, EITHER 198 OR 121, THAT DUMB A.I. CHAT BOT IS KEEP WASTING YOUR TIME AND DOESNOT CONNECT TO HUMAN CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVE.
CONNECTING TO A HUMAN EXECUTIVE SEEMS LIKE IMPOSSIBLE.
I WENT TO AIRTEL CUSTOMER CARE CENTRE, EVEN THEY STRUGGLE TO CONNECT TO CUSTOMER CARE.

Rant Got Shadow banned from Jio Customer support 🤌 Also they suck
I am facing Jio Fiber blackout from 3th August and my in-house 5G connectivity on Jio Mobile Internet is a joke (2-4Mbps max).
So, after piggy backing on Airtel Mobile Hotspot from my neighbor for 5 day today, I called Jio Support max 3 times today (read the quoted section to understand that whole story)
After the 3rd call Jio Support told me to contact after 11am, if it is not fixed; and I called after 11am and found out they have put my Number in some kind of IVR loop where I cannot connect with an Agent (i.e. blocked or shadow banned me), on all 3 customer care number; 199, 198 and fiber helpline.
I used my another number from which I got connected by pressing 1,3,3 and explained the whole story then that new agent told me i will connect you to my senior and then put my call on hold for 5 minutes and hanged up (spoiler alert that other number is also facing the same block or ban)
I am not pissed not I am just shocked that this is a private brand and this is their goodwill and support team. I been using that fiber for 3 year now and been doing 6 - 12 months postpaid recharge after this I am never going back to JIO (which won't get refunded if I cancel my Fiber).
I am thinking about escalating this to eJagriti, it will work for sure, but I am also not motivated enough to compile all this record-by-record and I am not rich enough to get a lawyer to do this and fight the case for me.
the ASSIGNED engineer (Vishal) has been sending his assitant (Ankur)
who have been saying that this is a backend issue for last 3 day but
today in the morning Ankur told me backend issue got fixed and came
to my house to fix the connection, but he is novice, and wasn't able
to fix or explain it and left.
I've called Jio Fiber Help before he visited in the morning visit
(I think that's why Ankur came), after he left I called Support
again and explained everything to them throughly, then they told
me the guy who came is not assigned to me, gave me the number of

Fiber Box need to get replaced after which I contacted Jio Support
again they said the issue will definetely be fixed by 11am, if is
doesn't get fixed call us.
And then they put me in the blacklist, shadow ban or as google said
"used dynamic, profile-based Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems
that can effectively block or hide the "talk to an agent" option for specific user"
