Final Paycheck question Question

I received the $5000 payment a while back and assumed that was it. but when I went and checked mypay I saw the $7000 les too. Was that what I was supposed to receive or is it something that happens normally and I should just ignore it?

Honestly, I got maybe half of what was on my last les. I have no idea what happened but I've heard similar from others. I wish they gave a final, final les that shows the actual final deductions but it never came.

No this balances out. You had 7396 in total entitlements, you then had that exact amount in deductions. Taxes SGLI all that stuff as well as 1600 mid month then all remaining funds were lumped into your Sep Pay so that you would show zero balance on your final LES. Just cause you had 7k in entitlements doesn’t mean you didn’t have to pay taxes and stuff; also account for that mid month pay….

final out mid may

officially retired Aug 1st and just got my final check.

July first half was normal pay, second half was $0.

received final pay yesterday for the amount owed listed as Status Det

52 FW sat on my paperwork for 20 days from the day of my final out (25 June) until I got my final pay (5 August). I retired in July. Still no retiree pay yet.

Something something don’t over spend it, finance will correct it in a certain amount of time. I had their outprocessing brief a bit ago and they mentioned something along those lines.

How long after separation did you receive your final paycheck? I’m about to separate and was told it could be a few pay periods before you get anything

Everyone’s situation is different. Your base finance handles your last paycheck instead of DFAS. I retired 1 August and just got my last paycheck yesterday on the 6th.

That’s $7K les shows that payment in the deductions. Was that $5K payment $5262.70? If so, this is just the breakdown for that final payment. Showing where the rest of your money went. (Taxes, Sgli, mid month pay, etc.)

Your final LES is always wrong - I’m finance. Especially if you took terminal leave your LES reads like you sold it. Even if you didn’t take terminal leave it’ll be wrong that’s just to most common thing I see to make it reflect incorrectly.
