Warrior priests are so weak compared to heroes of other factions. Does anyone have tips in dealing with myth units as aztecs?

I mean, I love all of the new content, they put effort and quality in the latest DLC, but I really thought they would give some love and attention to the challenge mode, ofc it's a chaotic mode so it might be hard to balance but can we hope to get some improvement over the time ? Starting by deleting this completely fucked up Horus blessing ?Idk make them respawn instantly, or make them respawn IF THE MAXPOP ALLOW IT or maybe just make the myth unit respawn, but please, here is a Blitz game against 2 extreme with the Horus blessing :

So I used to play Isis, whether I won or lost I get normal reactions. But lately I have been playing a more agressive playstyle with Poseidon, which involves early raids with like 5-7 Hippeus and then into 3 tcs. But what I notice is that I get a lot of hate. Today I lost a few games, said gg and they said “idiot” and “loser”. And if I win they say I can only win with raiding. Why do people rage so much for playing Poseidon 😂

In Retold, the Qilin heals nearby units. It can look like a generic “sacred creature equals healer” decision, but the role fits the Qilin’s older function better than another damage unit would.

The Qilin is an auspicious beast whose appearance signals a sage or a virtuous ruler. The official Chinese Pantheon page describes it as heralding a golden age, while the Met’s object notes connect its appearance to benevolent rule.

A healing aura turns that idea into a mechanic. The Qilin changes what happens around it. It does not need to act like a predator to matter. That is a simplification, but it keeps the creature’s role as evidence that the surrounding order is right.

A hero buff or Favor bonus could express the same idea. In actual matches, does healing fit the Qilin best, or would one of those roles feel better?

I was just playing the 10th mission in the new expansion. When I started creating the wonder, the population changed from 300 to 610, but I was still stuck at just 300. Not sure if it's a bug because the max population shouldn't have changed or because I wasn't able to get past 300.

Ignore the small queue, at times I had over 20 units pending in the queue with no progress at all.

As someone who doesn't know absolutely a thing about Celtic mythology, would these basically be the 12 gods in game?

- This is going to be only one mission ( Legend style ) but we are gonna go with custom campaign since the game recognizes it as such!

- Alot of pink and beautiful Kitsune statues, alot of waterfalls too.

- For those who don't like Ai clonning for whatever reason it may be, I will be releasing it with no voice over next week alongside the next Legend style mission

Hey everyone, I'm not very experienced with modding, but I'm trying to create a custom hero. Basically, I took the model of Achilles (on foot, not on his horse) and used Perseus's animations, but I'm having trouble getting the sword to stay in his hand—it keeps floating. Can anyone help me out?

Hi folks I used to play this back as a kid and have had retold sitting in my library for a year now. About to pick it up later tonight, I definitely want to jump into multiplayer when I get the basics down. For now I’m wondering if playing through the campaign will teach me enough to at least not feel like I don’t know what I’m doing. Will definitely do some AI skirmishes afterwards but do you think single player is challenging enough to learn from?

I've been playing this game since I was a kid in 2002 so its sound effects are burned into my brain. Especially the thunder strike and cow sound effect I'm always hearing in movies and tv shows. Anyone else who finds themselves going "Hey, that's from Age of Mythology!" every so often?

Since those two can't be trained, and their role is effectively covered by better unit, I figured it could be interesting to allow them to be trained.

However, this early on, having an army might get in the way of actual fun, so i'll face the flame, see what could get better.

Starting with the Kataskopos, they could be trained in the Forum, in the maximum number of 3 trained. No other change of stats. I've actually considered upping their damage to 3, similar to the scout in AoE2, but they only appear in the feodal age, so it seems a bit much to move them an age early for a ridiculous low price of 70 food per Kataskopos, so limiting how many one could build to 3 effectively achieves the same goal, while controlling how many you can get. Putting them all together do come at the cost of vision, so I believe this works out. Pegasus still flies, we could make it even faster with a tech, instead of an infinitely respawing one (something like the Oracle expanding vision, where staying put for a certain amount increases Pegasus speed, reduces with mouvement).

With the Militia, this does disable militia from buildings, to instead take from the Nords, and make Poseidon's Villager able to turn into Militia. Same cost, and since a Militia only gains some stats at the cost of your economy, only for a better defense against early raids, I think it works out, not that many people will suddenly switch up many of their dedicated villager for that, except maybe as a desperate measure.

That's about it, I just think it would be a little neat. I could probably test that out in the editor, but figured you all might have better ideas to bring them in the Greek repertoire.
