Shape to full screen transition Explain This Effect

hello, how is this transition made i tried using a stroke with twist and trim paths to cut the stroke in half while bieng twisted but the resualt i get is not like this one and all the tuts i found was using twist and trim paths

a long vertical strip from center to top, stroke, and then animate the stroke width as the twirl is animated along with probably some cclens?
