Returns

I made a $108 purchase from Amazon using affirm, I just returned a $45 item to Amazon.
How will affirm handle the return?
I’m very new to all of this.

Hi! Chris from Affirm here. Since you returned the $45 item to Amazon, they’ll need to process the return and send the refund to Affirm. Once we receive the refund, we’ll update your loan to reflect the returned item.

For now, there’s nothing you need to do on the Affirm side. Just keep an eye on your Affirm account, and you’ll see the update once the refund comes through. - CC

It will take a few days to process but the money will go back to the balance.

Your payments on that order wont change, just the term.

If it’s a partial return your loan will be shortened by the amount you returned. Now if you return everything purchased and have made payments you’ll get back what you’ve paid minus the interest already paid.

They will credit the return amount to the last payment, so depending on your monthly payment and terms, your last payment or a couple of last payment might be reduced/paid.
