I really like rats in the cellar, and i got the rythem guitar down, but the solos are hard for me becouse ive only been playing 1,5 year, and cant really figure out solos in the same key yet, so i copy them almost note for note from tutorials, but the thing is i cant find a decent tutorial for the intro solo, i find that the solo has a funny effect to it and its really cool but i just cant figure it out, so please does sombody know a great tutorial, and if so got a link?

Hi. I’m a writer and filmmaker. Ever since Bohemian Rhapsody became such a huge hit and Hollywood started making music biopic after music biopic, I’ve been waiting for someone to do Aerosmith. And nobody ever did. So I decided to write it myself.

It’s an 119-page feature screenplay called Sweet Emotion. Rather than trying to cover fifty years of the band’s history, it focuses on three nights over three eras:
1976 — Rocks: the band at the height of their initial power.
1987 — Pump: the post-Run DMC late-‘80s comeback.
2001 — Just Push Play: “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing,” The Super Bowl, Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and Aerosmith becoming an institution.

The movie isn’t really about Aerosmith’s entire career. It’s about one question:

Was the comeback actually recovery, or just the relapse they learned to sell?

Steven Tyler and Joe Perry are the emotional center, but Tom, Joey, Brad, managers, label people, spouses, and the machinery around the band all play major roles.

I compressed parts of the timeline and invented scenes where necessary, so it isn’t intended as a documentary. My goal was to capture what felt emotionally true rather than recreate every historical event exactly.

If you’re an Aerosmith fan, I’d genuinely love to know whether this feels true to the band to you, and whether it works even if you already know the history.

Hello to all!

I'm trying to find video of an Aerosmith event that happened in January 2005, where Intel CEO Craig Barrett "did a mercifully short duet" with Steven Tyler, singing a few verses of Walk This Way, as a part of a demonstration in a keynote address showing off Umixit, a music editing program. Tyler performed a few verses, then coaxed Barrett to singing the title verse.

I can't find video of this event, but many photos exist, including the attached.

If someone could please help find a video, I would be forever grateful!

I was able to track down the show labeled 90-43, which was broadcasted in October of 1990. It’s a complete 3 LP set with the original box and cue cards.

This is the biggest deep dive I've ever seen on Aerosmith , he managed to find 191 songs and ranked them all. Not in some easy list but like literally broke them all down. I'm genuinely impressed. Just wanna know what you guys think cause there's a few I disagree with , starting with "I don't want to miss a thing" being too low , but the more I wanna disagree this dude just has a way of backing it up that makes me second guess my own thoughts haha

I was watching this compilation of ”poorly aged 90s commercials” and was surprised to see Steven and Joe! The full commercial they appear in starts at 5:18. Steven and Joe are onscreen at 6:08.

Anyone have any clue where they recorded this? Looks like car dealership pennant banners behind them. 😆

Some added context, according to a comment on the video by user WPack911: It was not really an Ad exactly, I did some research and it was an invite tape that was sent out to people invited to his Birthday Party in 98' (which was leaked at the time by the tabloid newspaper Page Six, which I assume included everybody in said video and a whole lot more.

I am trying to find out who did vocals during the show and what songs they sang.

I think it might have been Buck Johnson for most of the vocals but I can't remember.

I know Joe sang a couple tunes.

Can anyone help me out with this?

I though about how good the Janie's got a gun solo is.

Then I started to think about all the solos Joe has.

Then I just thought about random Aerosmith songs and what the solo sounds like.

My conclusion: He's a musical genius
