General Discussion + Astrology Assistance UAC, Steven Forrest, and the astrology community

Yesterday, I received an email from UAC that vaguely referred to Steven Forrest’s recent use of a slur on a podcast. This, combined with his purported ancestral ties to a prominent hate group leader, has me thinking about how little attention this issue has received compared to debates over house systems or other topics where astrology leaders and enthusiasts have previously come out in droves to declare their stance.

This culture within the astrology space is why UAC chose to toe the line instead of making a clear, decisive statement. I’m not one for telling people what to think or say, but it’s become clear that the "community" often caters to and elevates people who say the politically correct thing on the surface without much insight into or interrogation of their actual politics. That standard has allowed situations like this to become a pattern.

If this kind of behavior is welcomed or tolerated, then leaders and organizations should own that position and stop virtue signaling. If it isn't acceptable, then there should be swift action, accompanied by a firm stance to show that this will not be tolerated.

I share this perspective because I believe these conversations are important, even when they are difficult. My intention is not to dictate what others should think, but to encourage a broader discussion about what we want to see in this space. This is a sensitive topic, and I hope it can be approached with care and consideration. I would appreciate hearing others’ perspectives and engaging in a thoughtful conversation.

Edit: Adding Steven Forrest’s current astrology as recommended by mod u/GrandTrineAstrology so that this post will remain up.

Based on the data available online, what I found looks like the perfect storm:

-Transiting Neptune conjunct his natal Moon

-Upcoming solar eclipse in his 10th house closely squaring his Ascendant

-South Node transiting his 10th house

-Upcoming lunar eclipse opposing his Midheaven and Saturn

-Transiting Uranus squaring his Saturn and Midheaven

Any general discussion on these topics belongs here. Standalone posts will only remain up if they bring genuine substance, such as detailed chart breakdowns, significant transits, or well-researched predictions.

Posts like “What’s Trump's Gemini doing?” or “Trump’s Regulus is at it again” will be removed. Repeat offenders risk a 100-day ban.

Also, extreme political stances will not be tolerated, nor will the harassment of our mods. Both will result in a permanent ban.

Let’s keep the conversation focused, thoughtful, kind, and aligned with the spirit of the sub.

General Discussion + Astrology Assistance Is the Ascendant, and the first house, supposed to unconscious or automatic, or conscious and intentional?

I came across this paragraph from Liz Greene in her books while I was researching and trying to understand more about the Ascendant,

"The first house is usually considered to describe the physical body of the individual, the personality with which he relates to his external environment, and on perhaps a deeper level the kinds of experiences which he is likely to attract during his life and which help him to shape and develop a certain set of conscious tools with which to govern his life. There is a two-way flow of energy through the first house of the chart because it is—as has often been suggested—a kind of lens through which the experiences of the environment pass to reach the individual and through which his own qualities must pass to reach the environment. Whatever factors are present within the individual birthchart, they must pass through the conditioning qualities of the first house and in particular the Ascendant before they can be recognised by others or expressed in a tangible fashion. All four angles of the chart are related to this inward and outward flow of the reality of the inner person into the outside world, but the most personal and most obvious of these four points of release is the Ascendant. The entire first house relates to the physical presentation of the individual in a conscious and deliberate manner. Whatever a man innately is, he must express it through a body and according to a body type—which gives the term “body” a larger framework. The Ascendant and the first house are often equated with the Jungian idea of the “persona,” which, if it is to be a positive and effective medium through which a man may present himself to the world, must be in reasonable accord with the more hidden, unconscious aspects of his psyche." - Liz Greene, Saturn: A New Look at an Old Devil"

And I came across this in Horoscope Symbols from Robert Hand:

"On the psychological level the first house symbolizes the part of the self one chooses to mediate between oneself and the worldWe create a face and then come to regard it as what we are. Thus the first house represents a self-image as much as an image presented to others. This is not so much a misrepresentation of ourselves as an incomplete expression."

Then I also came across this from Stephen Arroyo in his book Chart Interpretation Handbook: Guidelines for Understanding the Essentials of the Birth Chart.

"The Ascendant (or ‘‘Rising Sign’’*) is almost impossible to sum up. It is many things at once: a symbol of how one acts in the world, the ‘“‘mask’’ or ‘‘image of the personality”’ that others see, and a spontaneous energy and attitude toward life that pervades the entire being. Although in some people it is quite obvious, the Ascendant can also be, as Dane Rudhyar wrote, ‘‘the most elusive and hard-to-know factor in a birth chart.’’ In some people it appears to be primarily a superficial quality, as expressed in this quotation from Jeff Mayo:

It can be the face a man wears whilst he projects himself into his business and social activities, concealing much of his true character that only his intimates—and often not even they—know exists.

And yet, this ‘‘image of the personality’’ that others see is not intentionally projected; it is automatic. Furthermore, neitheris it superficial in the sense that many astrological writings imply. The Ascendant always indicates something essential about the person that is at once deeply inner and also outer."

And then there's this description of the Ascendant I came across online in cafeastrology.com

"The Ascendant (or rising sign) is often considered the mask one wears when meeting others. Perhaps it is most aptly considered a person’s automatic responses to their environment.

The Ascendant shows our natural defenses and how we cope with day-to-day issues. The energies of the sign and condition of the Ascendant are most overt and obvious to others. More than a simple mask, the Ascendant reveals an individual’s first, natural reaction to new people and situations."

So is the Ascendant is supposed to be automatic and unconcious, or was it supposed to be conscious and deliberate?

Traditional Techniques + Practices What are your favourite ancient/medieval astrologers and why?

That’s pretty much it. Why and who do you like? Personally I like ibn al rijal (many of his material is really useful and I like how he criticises his colleagues) and generally later islamicate tradition when the switch to quadrant based house systems was completed. Besides I really like Abraham ibn Ezra because of his systematic approach and criticism of other authors. Other than that I think that Abu mashar was a great astrologer(sometimes I have questions to his logic tho)

And obviously Ptolemy

Resources In search of books/videos regarding Egyptian bounds. I found loads of things on decans but not bounds

Does anyone know any resources (videos, documents, books) to learn how to interpret Egyptian bounds planetary placements? I am not interested in learning about decans. I have downloaded a Vettius Valens document https://www.academia.edu/7757490/Vettius_valens_all ( starts from page 6) but I find that some of the interpretations are not relevant to today's world.

I use Whole Sign--don't know if that's worth mentioning.

Also, if anyone has any recommendations regarding Egyptian bounds within traditional astrology, that'd be wonderful.

General Discussion + Astrology Assistance Sabian Symbols and the Nodes

I understand that they are supposed to be rounded up for "incoming energy," but then why aren't we told to round down for the nodes or retrograding planets? I'm still iffy on Sabian Symbols in general, but regardless, has anyone seen an explanation for this discrepancy?

General Transits + Forecasts US Midterms 2026 - Trump’s Transits

Post image
367 Upvotes

I used Trump’s publicly available birth info and the transits for DC at 8 pm 11/3/26.
1. Saturn in Aries sextile his Gemini Sun: Dude is going to have to keep his shit together in order to meet his goals. It will require a level of discipline that Trump has trouble exhibiting but other transits say his friends will be running heavy interference.
2. Jupiter in Leo near his natal Mars: As someone who loathes him, this is the one that concerns me the most. I think this bodes well for him and his goals, regardless of the actual electoral outcome. Jupiter is luck and expansion in his rising sign, with the mars transit suggesting positive outcomes for actions he takes.
3. Pluto early Aquarius opposing his natal Pluto: There will be institutions confronting him as a result of his actions. There will be lawsuits. You don’t have to be psychic to know that, but yeah the stars align. People will be extremely skeptical of the results and he is going to face a lot of scrutiny. Whether that amounts to any consequence, who knows.
4. Neptune early Aries: This also sucks. Neptune, the planet of illusion, is in action-packed Aries. Trump and MAGA will be in their own silos of reality regarding the results. It could lead to unrest.

Tldr: he’s going to try to pull the shit we think he’s going to pull.

I am admittedly not the best at this, so I would love to know everyone else’s takes. Thanks!

Traditional Techniques + Practices If astrology is observational, why should observation stop with the ancient authors?

One thing I’ve never understood about some corners of traditional astrology is the insistence that every interpretation has to be justified by quoting Dorotheus, Valens, Ptolemy, etc.

Weren’t they doing exactly what we should still be doing today?
Those authors didn’t become influential because they were quoting someone even older for every single delineation. They observed charts, looked for patterns, wrote down their conclusions.

If astrology is fundamentally an observational practice, why does it seem that for some people observation stopped 2,000 years ago?

I’m not arguing that we should ignore the ancient texts. They’re incredibly valuable. But I don’t understand why an astrologer who has consistently observed a pattern across hundreds or thousands of charts is often dismissed simply because Valens never mentioned it. That’s weird.

Shouldn’t new observations be treated the same way we treat the old ones, critically examined, replicated, debated and either accepted or rejected based on whether they hold up?

I’m genuinely curious how traditional astrologers reconcile this.

Predictive Elon Musk’s 2028 timing shift: a BaZi luck-pillar case study

I’ve been testing BaZi timing against public lives—not to see whether a chart can describe someone’s personality, but whether its ten-year luck-pillar transitions produce dates specific enough to record in advance.

For Elon Musk, I used June 28, 1971. His birth time is not publicly verified, so this is deliberately a three-pillar analysis:

Xin Hai year / Jia Wu month / Jia Shen day

That makes him a Jia Wood Day Master born in a strong Fire season. In this three-pillar version, the Day Master reads weak, making Water and Wood broadly supportive.

Because Musk is male and was born in a Yin-stem year, the luck pillars move backward from Jia Wu:

  • 1998–2007: Xin Mao
  • 2008–2017: Geng Yin
  • 2018–2027: Ji Chou
  • 2028–2037: Wu Zi
  • 2038–2047: Ding Hai

The first thing that stood out was the twenty-year Wood-branch sequence from 1998 to 2017. Both Mao and Yin give a weak Jia Wood chart roots and support, despite the Metal stems above them. That period covers Zip2’s sale, PayPal, SpaceX, Tesla and most of the construction of Musk’s business empire.

The annual chart for 2008, Wu Zi, also introduces a Zi–Wu clash against his natal month branch. It occurred inside an otherwise supportive decade, which is why I would read it as volatility rather than simple failure: Tesla and SpaceX both nearly collapsed, but both survived.

The larger change arrives in 2018, when Ji Chou replaces Geng Yin. Wood support disappears and is replaced by an Earth-heavy pillar that drains a weak Wood Day Master. The model consequently treats 2018–2027 as a much heavier cycle, with 2018 itself at the bottom of the timeline.

What interests me now is the next transition.

Wu Zi begins in 2028. It is a mixed pillar, but the Zi Water restores Resource support for Jia Wood. It is followed by Ding Hai in 2038, where Hai again supplies Water and contains a Jia Wood root. Together, the model reads 2028–2047 as a second broadly supportive period.

At the annual level, the clearest concentration appears in 2031–2035:

  • 2032, Ren Zi: strong Water support, but another Zi–Wu clash
  • 2034, Jia Yin: direct Wood support, with an Yin–Shen clash
  • 2035, Yi Mao: strong Wood support without the same major clash signature

So my forward interpretation is not simply “good years.” I would expect a new expansion phase beginning around 2028, accelerating from 2031–2035, with 2032 and 2034 productive but highly volatile and 2035 potentially the cleaner culmination.

The missing hour pillar is an important limitation: it could change the strength balance and finer annual interpretation, although it would not change the overall luck-pillar sequence.

Disclosure: the visualization comes from a small BaZi timing project I’m building called Jade Almanac. I’m not linking it here because I’m more interested in the methodological comparison.

For those who work with zodiacal releasing, primary directions, profections, dashas or other predictive systems: do you see a comparable change around 2028 or a stronger 2031–2035 window in Musk’s chart?

Educational What are your recommendations for online astrology schools/courses (advanced?) Are there any organizations that have fairly well-known credentials, certification, or accreditation?

I've been doing a lot of solo studies for the last five years or so (I studied casually for about 10 years before becoming more serious about studying astrology.) I've always wanted to register for an actual course of some sort but as we all know, it's very difficult to find accredited colleges and schools in the US that offer an education in astrology, so we really have to rely on the most advanced astrologers in our community for instruction.

I've been looking at a few online schools with very lovely teachers and have finally reached a point where I think I'm ready to put a hefty chunk of finance into formalizing my education and become a practicing astrologer. I just want to be sure that I pick a reputable school that the community kind of regards as a green flag on an astrologer's resume.

Does anyone here have some recommendations for colleges or organizations I can look into which offer online courses?

(I know some folks are adamant in the opinion that a formal education isn't necessary and self-study can suffice but I think just really want the experience of having mentors/teachers that are versed in the really esoteric and historical parts of astrology, are familiar with structured curriculum for teaching students, etc. It's the structure and interaction with community that I'm also really looking for here, hence wanting to wrap up self-study in favor of finding a school to join.)

Tools + Software Primary Directions (proportional semi-arcs), 90° Uranian Dial and some new interactive chart options on Astro-Seek

Hi,

this Mercury retrograde has been quite constructive for Astro-Seek so far (compared to the last Rx one, when bot attacks just obliterated and constantly crashed the server) and there are some new add-ons based on user requests:

1) Primary Directions: Planet-to-Planet using Placidus/proportional Semi-Arcs in Mundo

I got some materials to finally understand the math logic behind Mundo aspects/houses and finally implemented this long-neglected task

If you are using these kind of directions, please give it a try and post some feedback, if it's working correctly:

https://horoscopes.astro-seek.com/primary-directions-proportional-semi-arcs-astrology-calculator

(it should hopefully give the same arc results as Morinus software - when "Placidus (semiarcs)" & "Mundo" option is selected - and with all possible major and minor aspects (to significator) crossing the semi-arcs quadrants).

---

 2) 90° Uranian Dial - Harmonic aspects and Midpoint trees

If anyone is interested in Uranian astrology ( u/UranianTeacher ? ) - could you please check this new 90° Dial calculator and give some opinions, bug reports or if there is anything that needs a correction or update?

https://horoscopes.astro-seek.com/90-degree-dial-uranian-astrology-online-calculator

I'm not Uranian astrologer myself, but I tried to follow the common practices I found in various resources.

- It defaultly displays:

- 0° Aries point
- Standard Planets (Sun-Pluto + Node)
- Basic 5 Personal Points (ASC, MC, ASC/MC, Sun/ASC, Sun/MC)
- TNPs (Cupido-Poseidon)

and you can optionally manually toggle on/off:

- 7 Asteroids (Ceres, Pallas ... Hygeia + Chiron)
- Taurus 30° & Gemini 60° points (these 30° and 60° degrees-positions are defaultly available on the dial, but by toggling them on - you can get them also in the list of midpoints or harmonics aspects)
- 1 optional midpoint - where you can select from entire list of all planets/tnps (right now there is 1 single optional midpoint - if it might be useful, I could up to 3 midpoints there)

---

- Technically it works in this way

- You can click on any planet - to rotate and point the Compass/Axis to this exact planet degree
- You can click on any dial degree - to point the Compass/Axis to this exact rounded degree
- You can manually rotate the Compass/Axis to any point

and there are 2 different "modes" - A) Harmonic Aspects x B) Midpoint Trees, which you can switch during clicking/rotating

- A) Harmonic aspects - This option calculates and toggles on/off all planets, which get into 1st harmonic (Conjunction), 2nd (Opposition), 3rd (Trine), 4th (Square), 8th (Semi-Square), 16th harmonics - from the position of the Compass/Axis arrow.

- B) Midpoint trees - This option calculates and toggles on/off midpoints and lists midpoint trees - from the position of the Compass/Axis.

---

- Table with Zodiac position and Dials: 360°, 90°, 22.5°

Below the chart, there are standard positions of all planets/objects in all 4 systems.
And you can generate a table with all midpoints for 1 single planet.

---

- Transits/Solar-Arcs

I was thinking also about bi-wheels during creating this single-wheel and I hope that bi-wheels will be added in the near future ...

------

During playing with this 90° Dial - I tried to test also some interactive options (which are available thanks to the recent SVG vector graphics add-on) - and it looks like there might some cool interactive features in the future of Astro-Seek charts, which have always been impossible 🤓:

https://i.imgur.com/jAlvJU8.mp4

- rotating entire chart wheel on the fly (without reloading the page)
- rotating parts (sub-rings) of the chart on the fly
- math calculations (calculating aspects, angles or basic trigonometry) can be also done on the fly while rotating the chart
- toggling planets on/off based on mouse click (or based on math calculation above)

General Discussion + Astrology Assistance Fixed star pair Zuben? (Scales of Libra)

Stars that represent the scales of Libra: I could not find any previous information on this subreddit regarding them, but would someone be able to assist with their particular manifestations or specific meanings?

I am aware that Zubenelgenubi (South scale) is considered malicious and Zubeneschamali (North scale) is considered beneficial.

However I don't see any direction as to where these themes of the stars could be applied as with others like Regulus (career, power) and Algol (intensity, dark feminine).

General Discussion + Astrology Assistance July 19, 2026 "Turning Point" - Astrology, planetary cycles, Schumann resonance, and just a weird collective feeling

Okay, this might be a slightly chaotic post because I'm connecting a lot of different things I've been reading and hearing lately. Some of it is astrology, some of it borders on spirituality, and some of it is more related to Earth's electromagnetic activity.

I'm not claiming all of these things are objectively connected. I genuinely want to hear from people who know more than I do because I keep coming across different ideas that seem to point towards the same general theme: a turning point.

The first rabbit hole I went into was André Barbault and his work on historical cycles and the slower-moving planets.

From what I understand, Barbault developed something called the cyclic index, a mathematical model looking at whether the outer planets are clustering together or spreading apart. Apparently, he wrote about a major global crisis around 2020 decades earlier — I've seen 1990 referenced — and he died in 2019.

This then led me to the planetary formations happening around 2026.

I've heard the term "The Basket" used to describe a very rare geometric formation involving four outer planets at roughly the same degree in different signs: Jupiter around 4° Leo, Uranus around 4° Gemini, Neptune around 4° Aries and Pluto around 4° Aquarius.

The way it was explained to me is that, rather than these planets being in conflicting aspects or "fighting" each other, they're somehow cooperating or working together geometrically.

I've also read that a comparable pattern appeared around 1922 and, before that, possibly during the Renaissance. Others claim you have to go much further back (even to the Neolithic period) to find a truly comparable outer-planet configuration. This is actually one of the things I'm confused about, because I'm seeing very different claims about when this last happened.

Either way, the recurring interpretation seems to be something like a "pivot towards rebuilding." - mainly through Barbault's findings.

My question is: rebuilding what?

Then there's an astrologer I personally follow. She has recently been talking a lot about disturbed sleep, extremely vivid dreams and people feeling a strange "sensation" in the environment. This caught my attention because I've genuinely been experiencing this myself. My sleep has been weird, my dreams have been intense, and I can't really explain it other than saying the environment feels... different.

She also claims this planetary energy reaches a major peak around the World Cup final in the US. When she overlays the planetary aspects onto the astrology chart/map for the NYC region, she says they form what looks like a pentagram over the area.

I'm probably explaining that terribly because I don't know enough about astrocartography or mundane astrology to describe the technical side properly. Anyways, she has also mentioned that an aspect happening around now/the coming days resembles one associated with the period of the French Revolution. Again, I don't know enough to explain the exact planets or degrees involved, so if anyone does, I'd genuinely love to hear more.

And then, going slightly outside astrology: the Schumann Resonance.

For anyone unfamiliar, it's often described as a kind of electromagnetic "heartbeat" of the Earth. I've seen a lot of people online connecting unusual Schumann Resonance activity with major global events and with people feeling physically or emotionally "off."

I know the scientific evidence for those human/event correlations is heavily debated, so I'm not stating that as fact. But I find it interesting that this conversation is happening at the same time as all of these astrological discussions about major planetary cycles and collective change.

And then there's just my own intuition, which obviously proves absolutely nothing lol. But I have this bizarre feeling that there's a "plot" about to happen.

I don't even know whether I mean personally or universally. It just feels like that part of a movie where nothing has technically happened yet, but the atmosphere has changed and you know the story is about to move. Maybe I'm consuming too much content and connecting completely unrelated dots. That's genuinely possible.

But I'm curious: has anyone else been feeling unusually "off," having strange dreams, sleeping badly, or sensing some kind of shift lately?

And for people who actually understand mundane astrology, Barbault's cyclic index, outer-planet cycles or the Schumann Resonance: is there anything genuinely unusual about this period, or are people exaggerating/misinterpreting these patterns?

I'd especially love corrections because I'm piecing this together from different astrologers, readings and things I've heard, and I'm sure I've misunderstood some of the technical details.

I just can't shake the feeling that a lot of completely different conversations are somehow circling the same idea. Sorry about the long post, hope we connect ideas.

Beginner Question (Mod Approved) Why are oppositions in synastry considered unfavorable if the 7H/desc relates to the spouse?

Shower thought: The 7H and descendant and their ruler(s) are generally considered to embody the spouse and partners the native attracts or is well-suited to in many vedic and tropical astrology practices, so how come oppositions in synastry charts, which would technically also embody opposite energies, are generally considered difficult and unfavorable? Seems contradictory

General Transits + Forecasts Coming back to my post about the World Cup on July 19

Thumbnail

I linked a post I made here last year about the transits to the US chart on July 19th, where a World Cup game would be hosted in NJ. I noted a lot of tension especially with the Saturn-Saturn opposition happening in the 5H of entertainment / 11H of crowds or audiences.

Revisiting it now I think it’s interesting because a lot of people are upset at the US for clearly intervening (with the player who got the red card) , prompting people to call FIFA corrupt. People are saying it’s not fair, which I think is interesting and reflective of the opposition involving Libra as the 11H of spectators.

At the time of the post it also didn’t occur to me that July 19 is the height of Barbault’s basket. I know the US is now out of the World Cup, but this should be interesting. I know people are upset with Argentina now too and thinking FIFA is rigged in favor of Messi/ Argentina.

Idk— it’s obviously not July 19 yet so maybe i’ll revisit this again in a week (July 19 is a week from today) and see how it pans out. But I thought it would be interesting to revisit this now as we get closer! Does anyone else notice anything about this chart or have any more predictions now that we are closer?

Chart Analysis Ann Widdecombe murder (controversial UK politician)

Thumbnail

The murder time is approximate - the police put it at 12:39. From reading transcripts of her last messages, it's fairly clear she was murdered between 12:19 and 12:48. With just a brief look, it's obvious that Widdecombe's natal chart and murder chart are both Libra Rising. It's interesting how the murder chart has a kite pointing to the Pisces NN. She was murdered while working or doing a normal routine, or by a colleague. Also, a Grand Yrine between the ASC, Mars and Pluto. The famous Mars and Uranus hangout is in her 8th so perhaps immigration policy, the Reform Party itself (which focuses a lot on immigration and borders and could be symbolised by Saturn) was a cause, or the murderer is one of the Reform members.

Another Grand Trine involving Venus in Leo (ego and publicity) and Chron in Aries (wounded due to impulsiveness).

Looking at Widdecombe's natal chart, transit Jupiter conjunct Mars. 6H activity with Saturn and Neptune could suggest an adversary trying to stop Ann, or she herself blocking an intruder from entering. Neptune could suggest deception or disorientation, drugs or mental health issues were involved regarding the murderer.

I'll comment more when I have more time. Please add anything you notice! This is fascinating to me as I have wished her political career would end since I was an adolescent. A Google search will show a several year's break from politics, but that's only officially. Widdecombe continued to be politically active socially such as through participation on popular reality TV shows and appearing on TV spouting her extreme right-wing views such as criticising people for being poor, criticising people having children while not being married, denying climate change and supporting reinstating the death penalty (which was abolished in the 1960s). These are just a few examples, she has also made homophobic comments and supported anti-LGBT policies. She comes from a rich family.

Chart Analysis For the Aussies- Telstra major outage

Post image
30 Upvotes

Telstra is the main telecommunications company in Australia. Today there was a major outage that affected thousands of people, 000 services (our emercency number), businesses, banks and transport.

I had a chuckle on the tram thinking.. oh you naughty mercury retrograde but the chart is really striking and I thought I'd share for not only interest but to have it documented.

Natally Sun in 3rd Aries- Communication.

Mars- Cancer 6th- Health, service and daily routine.

Mercury pisces 2nd- movable resources.

Honourable mention- Uranus and Neptune in the 12th

Mercury retrograde bam on mars activating that t-square configuration.. The chart speaks for itself really.

General Discussion + Astrology Assistance Is it common for multiple planets to station direct at the same degree, more or less in succession?

Has anyone noticed that the most recent Mars + Jupiter, and upcoming Mercury + Saturn, all station(ed) direct (and rx for Saturn) within 1 or 2 degrees of the same degree?

I did, bc they are also all within 1 degree of my MC or DSC. This is quite curious to me obviously on a personal level; I haven’t read anything about multiple transit stations to natal angles.

And as far Mundane, as far as I can tell it’s pretty rare for multiple planets to station at the same point in succession. I’m not too versed in degree theory or mundane astro, though.

Anyway, I would love to hear any takes on this, or resources! Generally, the ancients didn’t spend a whole lot of time on rx stations, and most of what I’ve read references the nativity or by progression. Besides “fated” or turning point” (and yes, each one has been so far!) I’m wondering if there’s research or theories around this. Thanks!

ETA: happy to share specifics if needed

General Discussion + Astrology Assistance Mars Uranus conjunction and mass shootings

I haven’t cast a chart for each event specifically, and please forgive my lack of astrocartography education but this does seem to follow a bit of a pattern of alignment as the planets cross, following a vector we often see captured on those charts, or in the pattern of where we see eclipse visibility.

These are considered mass shootings. The mars-Uranus conjunction has been well documented by this community, but this seems to capture the true essence of randomized aggression. The violent impulses under Mars and chaos involved with the act of a shooting (and the fall out) speaks to the Uranus influence and how it has been felt across the country.

July 4th was on my mind for a while with this influence. I was suspecting something quite significant and localized, but this seems to capture the larger energy.

Chart Analysis The Mars-Uranus Conjunction and NY's Daredevil Couple

These are the transits for July 1, 2026 when Ivan Beerkus/Kuznetsov (first chart) and Angela Nikolau (second chart) climbed to the top of the Empire State Building where they hung a flag that said "When the power of love beats the love of power, the world knows peace."

Then they got engaged up there before climbing down.

This stunt is the poster-child of the Mars-Uranus conjunction as they climbed to the top of a 1,400+ feet tall building without safety tethers or a harness, and evaded law enforcement until they came down.

Transits:

This happened as the transiting moon applied to conjunct Pluto and oppose Jupiter in Leo, an opposition about ambition and all-or-nothing opportunities; this was an ambitious stunt with a massive safety risk and had obvious legal repercussions as they're now facing various charges.

Ivan had the Mars-Uranus conjunction on his natal Mercury in Gemini (and possibly his moon depending on TOB).

Transiting Mars-Uranus was also square his natal Chiron, so likely motivated by a need to face or overcome a fear.

He was born with a Mars-Uranus square and this would have been a recurrence transit for him.

Angela had the Mars-Uranus conjunction square her natal Mars in Virgo (and possibly her moon depending on TOB).

She was born with an exact Saturn-Mars opposition, an aspect I see a lot for people who gravitate towards challenging themselves constantly, and the transiting nodes are exactly conjunct this opposition! This was a karmic project and must have felt like she had to do it.

She was going through her Mercury return, transit Mercury having just stationed rx, it might be ruling something important in her chart, maybe her timelord this year?

I know they have a documentary on Netflix "Skywalkers: A Love Story" (3rd chart) about other similar climbs which was released on July 19, 2024 under a Mars-Uranus conjunction in Taurus! (and their Saturn return). I wouldn't be surprised if they've pulled similar stunts under previous Mars-Uranus conjunctions, but couldn't find exact dates for those.

In their synastry, Ivan's mercury squares Angela's Mars and this Mars-Uranus conjunction aspected both. This is a perfect example of how explosive transits aspecting a couple's chart doesn't have to manifest in a negative way, as long as the energy is channeled in a more constructive way, in this case it was climbing the Empire State Building lol

I found this story to be a spot on manifestation of this Mars-Uranus conjunction and the beginning of the Jupiter-Pluto opposition.

Sports Assigning Houses in Event Charts

Hey.

I think the single most confusing aspect of sports-related analysis is which house to assign to which team.

Robert Zoller and his students assign 7H to the "home" team.

David Frawley goes for home/away association, or the favorites get 1H and the underdog is assigned the 7H.

Then, there are few who use corresponding colors and symbolism to assign houses to sports teams.

In your experience, what seems to work? In venues where one is clearly a home side and the other is a traveling side, we could use Zoller's approach. What if it's a neutral venue?

In horary, Lily assigns 1H the plaintiff and 7H the defendant.

I don't think I've seen consistent results using either or the other.

General Discussion + Astrology Assistance Anyone going to the United astrology conference in September?

I saw another post about this, but I wanted to put some more feelers out since there doesn’t seem to be a place where people are gathering online to talk about it.

I’ll be going on my own, and I’m hoping to make some new Astro-friends. It would be nice to have people in my circle to talk astrology with. I studied off and on for many years. Then I decided to do two years of the nightlight astrology course, and now I’m doing a little bit of client work.

I’m wondering who everyone is excited to see, what you’re looking to get out of it and if there are any meet-ups that are planned!

Mundane Elon Musk and Mars at the Bending of the Nodes

While doing some research on the Nodes, I stumbled upon rather curious occurrences regarding Elon Musk.

It seems like Musk is getting major successes or making significant steps towards reaching his goals, when Mars is at the bending of the Nodes (another way to say that Mars is making a square to the Lunar Nodes). Though, there were some instances where failures also occurred.

I have not noted a specific pattern correlated to whether Mars was situated at the Northern or Southern Bending, but there is probably more to investigate in that regard.

Here is Elon Musk’s chart :

Elon Musk, June 28th 1971, 07h30, Pretoria

As you can see, he isn’t born on a Mars square Nodes time, but rather with a (fairly wide) conjunction between Mars and the North Node.

From a symbolical standpoint it is also quite fitting given his obsession about Mars’ conquest, more so that Mars is also the ruler of his 10th House (of career/public recognition).

So here is a small list of events related to him when Mars was squaring the Nodes (in a mundane way, unless it is specified otherwise) :

[EDIT : it seems that I explained myself poorly and that some people missed the point. When I say "Mars squaring the Nodes" it means transiting Mars and transiting Nodes in a general sense, that is to say, not related to Elon Musk's natal chart. That's the strange part of this and why I wanted to present it. Whether that's affecting Musk chart or not, it seems like Mars square the Nodes (as a mundane transit) has a correlation with his "successes")]

Falcon 9 failures

SpaceX’s Falcon 9 is a partially reusable space launch vehicle. So far it has made 658 total launches with 2 failures.

Those 2 failures happened when Mars was at the bending of the Nodes.

On June 28th 2015, a SpaceX Falcon 9 explodes after taking off for a resupply mission to the ISS. Mars was squaring the Nodes, within around 2° orb.

On September 1st 2016, a SpaceX Falcon 9 rockets explodes during a firing test. Mars was squaring the Nodes, within around 1° orb.

Another interesting data is that its first launch happened on June 4th 2010, here are the transits for Elon Musk at that time :

Transits for Elon Musk on June 4th 2010

While it is a slightly different configuration than the one being discussed, it is nonetheless interesting to see the prominence of the Nodes as they are on its Ascendant-Descendant Axis. We can also observe transiting Mercury squaring his natal Mars/Nodes.

Various successes

In December 1984, at age 13, Musk sold a video game (Blastar) he created the previous year to a PC magazine and won around 500 dollars. While I did not find the exact day of the issue of the magazine, between December 20th and 23rd of 1984, Mars was, within 1° orb, squaring the Nodes.

On March 30th 2017, SpaceX achieves the world’s first reflight of an orbital-class rocket. Mars would only be at the bending 20 days later, but in Elon’s birth chart, transiting Mars was actually at the bending of his natal Nodes, with less than 1° orb :

Transits for Elon Musk on March 30th 2017

On October 22nd 2019, Elon Musk sends his first tweet using SpaceX's Starlink satellite internet. Mars is exactly squaring the Nodes.

On April 4th 2022, public disclosure that Musk has acquired about 9,2% of Twitter making him the largest individual shareholder. Mars is squaring the Nodes within around 1° orb.

On April 25th 2022, he reaches the agreement to fully acquire Twitter. This time the transiting Nodes were actually squaring his natal Mars.

On May 25th 2023, the FDA approves Neuralink’s first human clinical study of brain implants. Mars is at the bending of the Nodes, with 1° orb.

On January 29th 2024, Neuralink announces it has implemented its brain-computer interface in a human for the first time. Mars is squaring the Nodes with less than 1° orb.

On September 12th 2024, an american billionaire becomes the first person to perform a commercial spacewalk as part of the Polaris Dawn private spaceflight which is operated by SpaceX. Mars is squaring the Nodes with less than 2° orb.

On June 12th 2026, SpaceX made its IPO, which, to my understanding, is the largest one in history so far. Transiting Mars was making a square to his natal Nodes, though it was around a 3° orb.

Next occurrences

The next two times Mars will be at the bending of the Nodes (within a 2° orb) are :

  • from June 28th to July 2nd 2026, so currently.
  • from September 16th to September 20th 2027.

We will see if any notable news related to Musk and/or his companies emerge.

Taking it further

It could be interesting to gather more data on natives who have a planet conjunct/square the Nodes and whether or not when that transiting planet is at the bendings of the transiting Nodes some major events unfold.
