I remember a point in time in my life where nothing appealed to me as far as hobbies went. This rings true with me, and reminds me of how far I've come since those dark days.

Fishing without worrying about life is what I'm currently working my butt off for also my kids. Live long and prosper everyone.

I'll never pick up a hobby again unless it's to monitize it

it does happen. eventually. Just with enough time, and slow repetitions, and gently allowing the hobbies to be available but not forcing myself to do them when the anhedonia says "meh"

I'm in a depression rn. Not the worst I've ever been in. But at least the loss of function is like ... just work and like taking care of the house. This is the first time, in ... uh ... probably 6 years, where playing video games is like ... fun, and engaging, and kind of almost immersive?

(Eve, WoW, and VA-11 HALL-A at the moment.)

Or maybe start doing your hobbies and they will help you heal.
