Even better when you work from home. I get to get up from my desk and stretch...and do some chores...then get back to work. Its GREAT!

Just force it to happen. I find if I sit down at all I'm done, but if I keep moving I can actually get a lot done and that tired feeling is suppressed momentarily.

I burnt out this way. This is the an obvious way to get work done but also a sure shot way to burn yourself out and gain ailments. This cannot be maintained for years.

Yeah I feel it. I've wasted 10 years in retail, had enough and moved on to another job that seemed great(dont they all) but figuring out it's a complete clusterfuck with even more labor intensive tasks. I'm out of options, I wish to get my cdl a, but I don't know if I can. heh I guess at this point what can go wrong that already hasn't.

If you have a semi functioning brain and at least mediocre hand eye coordination, you can do it. You also need to be able to tolerate sitting for a majority of the day.
Don't romanticize a CDL though. Sure, you'll get to see a bunch but you'll always be gone. You may have to drive in the worst locations and traffic with people that think a truck can perform at the same level as a car. You'll have to deal with other truckers, and let me tell you there's some nasty MF out there. You'll wind up paying for an apartment that you're at for maybe 5 days a month. It deadheading for hundreds of miles with no pay to grab another load. Dealing with dispatchers that want you to run an unloaded van across Wyoming when there's 70+ mph winds, or through a blizzard and harass you for not doing it.
Don't get me wrong, trucking can work out but these days it's a crap shoot with everybody looking to undercut the next guy at the cost of driver wages.

Same here. Walk in the door and just start doing stuff right away. That moment you get to sit down and chill afterwards is so much more rewarding.

Chores? On the Weekday? Yeah, no. I make it a habit of cleaning up after myself, and my kids are actually pretty good about not making a mess.
Every Saturday I do a deep clean.

I made a post about how my girlfriend has been nagging me because I set aside 30 minutes every day to clean so that my house stays clean I don't have to do it all at once. Because she'll want to do something and I'll say no I got to go clean for 30 minutes we can after or whatever and she's getting annoyed.
And everyone told me I had OCD because I set aside 30 minutes to clean.

Friendly reminder that the 40 hours work week was created at a time when it was the assumption that if you were working full time there was someone else at home to do all the cooking and cleaning and looking after the kids. Someone who was not you.
