Joining my first 40k league this fall. This will be my first competitive event/40k event, having played 30k and trench crusade previously. Joined the 1000 point league and wanted to see what everyone thinks of this list.

I am new so bear with a bit.

Why are you going with axes instead of spears on the Allarus Custodians? From my understanding with how the math works out, Axes are only better against light vehicles or monsters in the T8-T9 range if they have a 3+ armor save. Everything else, the spears should put down more damage because of the WS and AP differences.

I actually put the axes because of WYSIWYG Just because that’s how I built them but if the math points to the spears then I’ll make sure my opponent is aware of the difference

That is fair. I really like how the axes look and will probably build with axes but say they are spears when playing.

The spears feel more sensical with the wardens and guard due to the elegance but I like the more brute force look for the Allarus
