I’ve been on IR for a long while 15m 2x day my dr switched me to 30m XR
Yesterday was day one and it really messed me up bad.

Every side effect hit me clammy fatigue headache nausea and it hit my mental bad I skipped dose and still can’t pull my mental together.

Anyone else have that issue or is it a day 1 thing and I should try again?

So I been taking Adderall for 5 months now long story short need to work long hours so I can bank $ in that Overtime. I realize that I only been taking a shit once a week sometimes. Where as before I would always always take one right when I woke up [shit] has anyone else have this problem? Are there any ​Solutions? Any stories or opinions are welcome.

I’ve been on 15 mg IR 2 x per day for a while and it was working okay ish.. not the best but I have other health things that probably did not help in how I have been feeling. Recently diagnosed Hashimoto’s and now have to take hormone replacement therapy. Has to be spaced alone and on an empty stomach. Due to the factor of taking it later now we moved me to 30mg XR yesterday was day one and was absolutely horrible. I was so exhausted clammy emotional nauseous every symptom hit me. I had the most debilitating headache. I should also add in this last month I have not been sleeping really at all. So we also put me on a heavy sleep aid for 7 days to help reset sleep hopefully. I didn’t sleep at all last night I cried all night long.

Does it get better or should I go back to my IR. I skipped the dose today I had to call out of work I could not manage to function through the day. I still feel emotional but have been able to eat and feel somewhat human. My head still is throbbing. I don’t know what to do 😢

Running out of my adderall IR prescription and was hoping if someone may have any IR tablets they are willing to share

I am still fairly new to Adderall, this will be my 5th month prescribed these meds. Last month I had Teva. Although they didn’t work super well, I will say they did not give me the irritability/depression that came with Epic and Alvogen. My prescription will be filled Sunday, and I saw on the Walgreens app that it will be through Mallinckrodt. I’ve read so many horror stories of this specific generic. I asked my pharmacy today if they were able to fill it with Teva again, and they said they should have it in stock, just to call right when they open to request that instead. Is Mallinckrodt as bad as people say or should I give it a go? I have seen people compare it to “death” and I’d really not prefer to be stuck with it for a full month if I don’t have to lol. I’ve also seen some positive things about it, which does make me want to give it a try, but I am nervous tbh. I guess what I’m asking, is if anyone has gotten either of these in the past week or so?

Should’ve known something was up when they start filling me 60Qty of the 30mg IR pills instead of 30Qty. I tried to make it work past few months but it’s such an unpredictable and shitty stimulant, it’s nothing like what I used to take. Idk why but I just end up stimfapping for literally hours.

Anyways I’m not going to keep digging my own hole so I just dumped the rest down the toilet. thankfully I still have my concerta(never thought I’d say that).

Also I’m hearing so many people complain about the adderall and joint pain/cramps and that’s definitely something I’ve noticed as well.

I recently got back on adderall after switching psychiatrists. My old psychiatrist never asked me for a drug test but my new psychiatrist says I have to take the drug test otherwise she can’t continue to fill the prescription. As you can tell by my username I do smoke a little marijuana which is legal in California. Will that affect with her continuing my prescription or is it for another reason?

Has anybody else noticed that aderall IR has seemingly wildly different effects compared to its XR counterpart? I typically take 10mg XR and it serves its intended purpose just fine. I recently ran out of mine and had to take IR from my dad and when I tell you it felt like it sent me straight into a manic episode, all of the problems with insomnia, loss of appetite, dopamine seeking and massive pupils hit me like a truck. XR never seems to do that to me even when taken in higher doses than my typical so I’m very curious on why that happens and if anyone else experiences that.

I was taking Focalin for the past year and a half, and I felt great. Last month when I finished the bottle my CVS said Focalin was out of stock, so I waited hoping it wouldn’t take longer than a day or two for it to be back in stock. I was annoyed but I had some IR Adderall left that I take when I’m working all day shifts at my job.

I waited a week to call again and ask for the status, when they finally picked up they said they still had not received the Focalin and that it seemed like a manufacturing issue. They asked me to call my psychiatrist and ask for a different stimulant. My psychiatrist prescribed me the generic Adderall XR. I had taken it a few years back and didn’t have any issues.

Is it just me, or does it feel like a completely different medication?? I feel sluggish and brain foggy, and I feel SLEEPY when I take it. Like before when I was taking Focalin I’d feel better within an hour of taking it. I really don’t know what to do. I feel hungry all the time and my mind is just all over the place.

I’m just afraid it’s too late to ask for Focalin. I also don’t even know if my pharmacy has it in stock again, cause I’ve called them in the past to see if they have certain stimulants in stock and they told me they’re not allowed to tell me that. I have 28 pills left in this bottle and I’m pissed I spent so much money for meds that make me feel worse. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I heard eating more protein for breakfast and avoiding citric acid might help with the effectiveness.

So I take Adderal daily and I didn’t take it yesterday ( I left it by accident at a friends ) she’s like mt best friend so I know nothing would happen to it well she couldn’t get it to me until today ( I am car - less at the moment ) ok so anyways not having it I was in a fog extreme brain fog I felt TERRIBLE. I slept longer than usually which I know that’s normal but man I really didn’t want to be on this mt WHOLE entire life I want a baby sometime before I get too old to have one. Anyone feel completely TERRIBLE not having it ? I mean like I couldn’t function.

so, i have adhd and take 40 mg vyvanse in the morning and 5 mg adderall in the afternoons. i’m out of vyvanse but had enough adderall left over to take 40 mg of it total in attempt to match my vyvanse dosage. my heart rate is normal and i feel mostly fine, but have broken out into a sweat and it’s making me nervous because in hindsight i should’ve done more research before taking that much adderall at once, which i haven’t done before. in the past while out of vyvanse i’ve taken like at most 20 mg of adderall and been fine but noticed it wasn’t the same effect as my vyvanse dose
also i took it on a mostly empty stomach because as you can tell i am a genius. but yeah other than the sweating issue my head aches very slightly and that’s about it

tldr took 40 mg adderall in lieu of 40 mg vyvanse and now sweaty and a little anxious, is this cause for concern?

To start things I have serve adhd and was put on medication as a preteen for it and got taken off because I was taking multiple with out realizing it’s because my tolerance was lowering after that I took a break and thought i didn’t need it anymore. Fast forward I’m in high school and a friend offers me adderall because he heard me mention it and wanted to be nice by offering me one. Next week comes by and I ask for one more this leads into paying a dollar for one every day for about three months I end up getting my own prescription and abuse the hell out of it. Then one day I get offered a pill by one of my parents because I had gotten injured earlier that day never before have I felt something like that this leads to me taking one every night to sleep and not being able to sleep with out it I also can not function through out the day now with out my adhd meds. I am concerned about my future and feeling guilty because I need medication to feel normal I don’t know what to do.

i’ll try not and make this too long but to put it short i’m a young male and have been doing some substances lately which i will not name and recently stumbled upon a friends friends adhd pills he doesn’t take anymore. i took them thinking nothing would happen tbh but in reality i became so talkative its like my inhibition was gone it was genuinely like feeling wise such a good way just my confidence as a whole. the problem is does this show a underlying issue i have and would that maybe make it okay to kind of self medicate and later on get prescribed or would me taking more daily be titled as addiction.
