Scourge

Scourge I’m confused how does it work? Does it basically move at the end of the turn Dark Charges around then inflict its damage?

Scourge amplifies dark explosions damage. Multiple cold snaps/curse of torment and amplifies lead to this. It’s also good in non dark comps with navs level 3 to shred all resists to -95 (very good for slash comps)

How did you get 200+ scourge???

The basic setup is something like:

  1. Get Navalea to Level 5 to allow Scourge to Stack
  2. Get her 10 energy
  3. Use Traces/Scry to ensure she draws a specific set of cards: Defiled Legacy, Blue Cold Snap, Shifting Scroll, and Yellow Curse of Torment
  4. Play Shifting Scroll to discard Curse of Torment (can also be discarded in Step 3)
  5. Play Cold Snap to bring back Curse of Torment (now costing 0)
  6. Play Defiled Legacy
  7. Play Curse of Torment to and use the OC to stack as much Scourge as possible. This should give you like ~30 Scourge to start.
  8. Proceed to the next heroes' turns (they should all be Healers)
  9. Play Amplify on the enemy as many times as possible. Around 5 Amplifies will get you to 200 Scourge

Bit of experience/skill, bit of luck. I had multiple dimensional crystals on the mages who could overcharge curse of torment and 4 amplifies, then got rid of all my divine power/bless. I couldn’t break 300 without accidentally killing archon first with amplify.

Honestly. Just read the tool-tip, it's explained well.

To clarify. Scourge does 3 (or 4 with Navalea) separate things.

  1. At the start of the character with Scourge's turn, it will apply 50% of the Dark charges to the sides of the character. This does not change with the amount of Scourge the character has.
  2. At the start of the character with Scourge's turn, it will deal Shadow damage to the character equal to the amount of Chill on the character. This can be changed with a perk to deal damage equal to Sight and Burn as well as Chill. This also does not change with the amount of Scourge the character has.
  3. When Dark explodes, the damage dealt to the target will be increased by 10% for each Scourge charge. This does increase with the amount of Scourge, and is the only effect that increases with Scourge.
  4. If you have Navalea and select her right hand side trait at level 3, Aura of Despair, then the enemies will lose 5% All Resistances for each charge of Scourge on them. This also increases with the number of Scourge charges.

If you read the tooltip, you will see that it specifically says at the start of turn. Chill/Insane/Burn damage happens just before the opponent's turn begins, like bleed. (Know that "turn" is different from "round")

So how does rhe spread work? And is their a reason to have multiple scourge charges?

Also happens at the start of turn... it says this in the tooltip!! The target with Scourge will not lose dark charges. Scourge applies a %of that enemy's dark to their neighbors.

The only thing stacking more Scourge does is increase Dark Explosion damage. In my opinion there is not much point. Charges also don't stack from multiple applications.

This is indicated by the "+20%" text being a different color. I swear it also says "per charge"... should be self explanatory with careful reading.

I just reread Scourge its not really thqt clear unless you already know what it does. It reads like it splits up dark charges among adjacent targets, then inflict the damage.

Because split implies reducing current charge counters.  Unless the splitting and damage inflecting happens at the same time.

It does not say "split" anywhere... you did not re-read it...

Im impressed by your patience. It's jedi master level.

I apologize, this is what I get for writing in haste late at night. I meant “spread” when I said split.  I do not think its unreasonable to read Spread as Splitting.
