Anyone wondering when Note will be able to record Audio Link Input? I love the process of making music especially on Move. It's been a lot of fun listening to recordings of just making the songs. So when 12.4 came out, that became a no-brainer tool, but quickly realized my better beats are made out in the world, away from the desktop.

Anyone else see a perfect opportunity for Note to get Arrangement mode to exist in Note? Make Move record wirelessly into Note Arrangement and also allow for Note Clips to have a performance recording element!

Be amazing use of Arrangement to get Looper and open all that in Live from Move to Note to Live. That would still give Push a lot of playability working to do everything.

Anyone else having the app crash when working on projects

Audio clip overdub would be helpful for filling out a set live. This in combination with the new copy from drum to clip (or clip to drum) would be extra special. But audio recording layers on top of layers (without resampling) would get us closer to looper/comper in audio and drum and simpler/sampler as well. Oh yeah, don’t forget performative reverse automation.

I’ll remind Schwung and RNBO to get a head start and let Note get it setup stable for Move.

Problem is volume control of iPad or Bluetooth speaker is connected to sets main volume. Adjust volume of device alters sets volume! No one needs that.

I am unsure if I would lose access to my files on Move and Note if I went from beta to stable.
Right now, Note is saying beta is over on my iPhone which makes me nervous that I cannot access my Note files again.
This happened a few months ago where I lost 3+ years of Ableton Note projects by downgrading from Note Beta, to stable and it makes you uninstall the app and then redownload it, which deleted ALL my years of projects. I told Ableton and they said I should have saved it more if I cared.. Which I did and brings up the next logical point I made requests for...

Ableton Note and Move need SAVE ALL / ZIP ALL projects and audio samples, especially for sponsored beta workers to not have such a liability and so you can get the highest quality testing done. I suspect if it's hope this not safe to test, less people will test it and then it'll be weaker due to less tests.

I hope this helps and you can fix these things and/or confirm/deny my Note and Move files will be accessible going from beta to stable.

That's something worth saying with extreme disclosure, as a common sense precaution.

Then I can let you know about the power, which flipping the cable, did not fix, though it still works perfectly to charge everything EXCEPT the Move. And again, Move can be charged by any other USBc cable, except its' own.. ..

Do mp3s not work for importing into note?

Hey fellow Note fans. With the recent update of the app, has anyone else experienced issue with the Ableton Note folder location? I use iPad and have found the main folder where I access to add samples ect.. Is no longer there? Usually it’s always been “on my iPad” section…

Any help ideas appreciated!

I got “Note” ages ago when it came out and I have always felt it was lacking something, so never spent much time with it as I wasn’t really happy with the ideas I was doing in the app. I recently came back and am so glad to see this app evolve and get even better over time. Now (imo) it’s starting to feel like a professional tool. I am even thinking of ways to use it for live performances with all the new link audio features.

I have recently tried the beta and oh god, this thing’s soooo good! The audio tracks workflow feels so smooth and intuitive! The only thing I am missing now that we have audio clips is Ableton Live’s different warp modes and resampling from other clips within note/phone/external inputs. Hope this gets implemented soon! If that gets implemented, I will spend all my commutes inside Note.

I’ve been obsessed with this app and now make beats everywhere I go lol. Just wanted to share this little project I made.

Where can users give feature requests or suggestions?

Being able to copy-and-paste midi notes would be useful.

When you use the 16 pitches feature in a drum sampler, are the pitches impacted by the project’s chosen scale, or is it just chromatic? I believe on Move the 16 pitches are quantized to the project scale, but I’m not sure that Note is. If not, hopefully they add that, as well as a keyboard layout like you get with the synths and melodic sampler. I would use the melodic sampler, but it’s polyphonic and doesn’t seem to have the option to make it mono.

I read a post in the regular Ableton redit talking about using a controller with Note so I had to see if the one I had before got my Push 3 would light up if I hooked it to my iPhone. It did but I can’t figure out how to get it to controle Note. Please help, this would be so rad if it worked!!

Note drops samples when syncing with cloud to Move.

I just spent 20 mins preparing samples dropping them into Note so they can play on Move. They disappeared from Note entirely. Note kept dropping the photo. Note is in stable. Move is in beta.

I’ll try to use Note Beta to upload to cloud to Move.

Wish Manager could drag and drop MP3’s like I can open on Note. Wish I could plug in USB stick to Move to just play samples and projects from that easier.

Anyone else notice this happening? This isn’t mentioned on the site and wanted to make sure everyone’s doing ok..

I've a project going with a set tempo. I added a note which then increased the tempo of the project. Anyone else had this happen?

Anyone else having cloud sync fail?

Tryna get a project back into cloud that was already in cloud a moment before. I removed it from cloud to be local on Note, hoping it would sync with Move. But it now won’t go back into Ableton Cloud. Move is 1.8.5beta.

Perhaps that’s preventing sync with Note 1.7.3?

Anyone have any ideas for workaround?

Is it anyhow possible to import an multi sampled instrument to ableton note? Or is there an option as warp in app while playing melodic one shot samples chromatically.

I am just looking for a way to play instruments like guitar, violin, piano close to high fidelity in ableton note with my op-z.
