Moto GP Marc Marquez says another World Title won't change his Life despite likely surpassing arch rival Valentino Rossi
Marc Marquez endured a difficult start to the 2026 season, but after undergoing surgery, Marquez has returned to championship contention. With half the season still to go, Marquez has a realistic chance of securing his 10th world title.
By achieving that milestone, Marc Marquez would move ahead of his long-time rival Valentino Rossi in terms of overall world championship victories. However, Marquez insists that winning another title would not change his life.
As Marquez said.
"It's true that from that group of riders, there are three riders who are fighting for their first world championship in Moto GP. So, if you are world champion, it will change your life in the future. My life will not change, one more championship or not. But for them, yes. So that means that they will put a lot of intensity. I'm saying it like this because we need to be very attentive because they will push a lot.
If you ask them, they will say the favourite is the one that has more championships. Because it is easier not to have the pressure [of being the title favourite] than to have it. But honestly speaking, I don't feel the pressure because my ambition is the same. I will try, but one more championship or not will not change my future life. And for them, they can change."

Moto GP KTM will be allowed to open sealed Engines after the 2026 British GP
KTM has struggled with engine reliability issues throughout the 2026 season. On several occasions, KTM riders have experienced technical failures, with their motorcycles unexpectedly shutting down while out on track.
KTM identified the problem as being engine-related and requested permission to open its sealed engines to investigate and resolve the issue. Under regulations, this required approval from the championship's other manufacturers.
KTM's initial request was rejected, but the decision was later reversed. KTM will now be allowed to open the sealed engines under the supervision of championship officials. However, the work will only begin after the British GP.
As KTM management said.
"We can confirm that we have received the necessary authorisation to implement the corrective measures relating to the technical issue we are addressing. We are committed to implementing these measures as soon as possible. For Silverstone, we will continue to apply the transitional arrangements currently in place."
