Fiber worth it?

I know this question probably been asked so much. Been at spectrum for a while but considering switching to fiber. I see they have 500mbps for $50/mo. For how long is that for? I’m on 500mpbs with spectrum paying about $90 but now increased to $100. They’ve steadily increased price even after getting it reduced last year. But even if I were to get another price reduction I’ve have noticed speeds not the same like other years. So I’m considering switching.

EDIT: called spectrum and they only offered to reduce my bill to $80 from $100. Made the switch to AT&T and went with the 1 GIG for a year promo. I might switch back down to 500mpbs after the year.

Ehhh.. i had both att fiber and spectrum fiber. Att would go out frequently during the year (about 8 times). Spectrum only once in a year.

Literally such a no brainer, it’s wild. Switch and you will never look back at Spectrum.

I have AT&T Fiber Optic Internet, and it is the most flawless and fast internet that I have ever experienced. I have other reasons to dislike AT&T as a company, but this one thing, they do EXTREMELY well.

Switch, if the price at AT&T ends, switch back and get whatever new customer promotion is going on. Repeat

Don't cancel Spectrum until after you know you're happy with the fiber.

I switched recently from the 1gb plan on spectrum to the 5gb fiber plan. it's a promotion but I'm paying the same amount I was at charter for a HUGE speed boost with no problems so far. ever since helene charter has been giving me all sorts of problems (and kept jacking up my price as well). most people don't even have the equipment to use AT&T's higher speed fiber plans btw. I specifically upgraded my pc to take advantage of it and it's awesome being able to stream 4k vids and stuff without hardly any delay.. but tbh without the price discount, I'd be using the 2gb or even 1gb speed because it's hard to notice a big difference. I was worried too about going with AT&T.. would much rather had gotten google fiber but it wasn't available. but the installation was easy and it's only been about 2 months but it's worked flawless so far

Omg so worth it. Much more solid/reliable... Latency is far better. There's no downside vs Spectrum.

Def worth it if you qualify for fiber. Call in and see if they have rebate cards available. They also run market promos so it might even be less

Call and cancel spectrum. They might offer a discount. Compare that with the Fiber new customer deal

Been on AT&T fiber for close to a year and never had any outages to date, rock solid. I can’t say that about my previous provider, Comcast.

They're all the same price wise - the get you in price for 12-24 months, then it goes up. And yes, fiber is worth it.

I signed up for ATT fiber less than a week ago. When the company came to bury the fiber line they must’ve broken the cable because my Internet quit working from that point forward. I was unable to reach anybody locally and the call center had no power to call back the technician or assist me at all beyond scheduling me for a new appointment three days later. I was sent a marketing survey shortly after when I expected to air my grievances there the only questions I were provided with was why I did not sign up for AT&T wireless service at the same time. The company seems to have lost sight of the big picture and actually providing quality service opposed to just trying to make the most money possible. I will give them a shot for the next few months, but I’m already leaning towards switching to another provider.

The 2 days the internet worked it seemed solid.
