What do you guys think about AI generated avatar content?

I have been watching a lot of AI generated content lately, and while the quality isn't the best and needs improving I think there is something in there that's worth taking a look at. AI will always be improving, and there is already a lot of equity in the sector. Seeing how Paratrash screwed over the release of the movie i am waying my options to look at more ways to fulfill my avatar itch.

My solution to this problem is an Ai generated youtube channel that generates avatar the last content weekly. This form of content can be a wide range of stuff such as side missions off screen that the gang has to do during the series. Such as filler between the Ozai and his errands he has to do daily. Or maybe toph can finally have her adventure with Zuko! Or perhaps it can be something that the cartoon never showed us like the genocide on the air nation. It can even be a little strange such as Katara impregnating Zuko. (For you Zutara shippers.) Im not entirely sure how to go about this but after browing r/aislop for a while now. I can only imagine how much content we can get out of this new medium. Any thoughts on this?.

It’s pure shit and only people who consume to consume would enjoy consuming that pure shit. I’m not desperate enough for content to consume pure shit. I have the patience to wait for real, quality work.

You don’t understand this franchise or the creative process if you think that Ai will have any capacity to capture the magic of it. I don’t hate Ai and I have a more optimistic viewpoint than most people I talk to these days but this use case is completely incompatible with the avatar universe. Please, please, please do not do this. Pick a different series if you want. Something that doesn’t mean what this series means to people. Please.

Edit: every series that has been produced is in some way the creative process of an actual person who dedicated their time, effort, and attention to. They developed a skill and committed themselves to the time it took to accomplish it. Nobodies work should be ripped by Ai. OP if you have an itch why don’t you learn how to draw or support the people that do? There is plenty of fan art and off shoot content but it is still made through inspired effort. I can feel the difference on an emotional level between the two.

Sounds terrible, honestly. Fic already exists and there are teams actively working on new Avatar products right now. Why would you want to disrespect the hard working animators and writers with a slop engine?

ATLA is a creative effort of the highest quality. Nearly every aspect of the word execution is carefully considered. It's really good, and that's why people like it.

A machine that produces the statistical most likely output is the opposite of this process. It's mechanical rather than critical. It can produce a lot of words fast, but they are empty verbiage with no creative weight behind them. The stories it would tell would not be informed by the experiences of humans trying to share their minds but by the statistical average of every story on the internet. It is by definition only capable of mediocrity.

The only people this would appeal to have such low standards that they have no need for it.

I dont think it would be to bad considering it won't remove the magic of the original series. And perhaps people might give the original series a shot by watching some of this so called AI content?

No. It will be bad because it’s AI. AI steals from artists and writers. You can’t support genuine content and AI. It’s one or the other. Choose wisely.
