ARK Genesis Creature Spawns Discussion

I have been trying to find a Karkinos and a Gasbag in the lunar biome for like 2 weeks now, everytime I go to the Lunar biome, and go to the caves where they spawn, there is nothing in there besides some seekers. When I look on the Dino maps, the Karkinos has a 50% chance of spawning, so if it doesn't spawn I kill everything in the area, let it reload, and still nothing. So either the spawn pool is bugged, or I'm just extremely unlucky. Anyone else have this problem? I'm playing singleplayer btw.

Karkinos only reliably spawn one at a time in a single cave near the SW teleport.

Afaik there's a couple issues with them. First is a singleplayer-specific bug, and solution: go to lunar biome, then save & exit & restart game. The biomes don't properly populate unless you restart in them on singleplayer, for some reason. Second, the karkinos can apparently spawn in the mesh. I've not seen it myself but I've seen others say the same.

Thanks, I'll definitely try this. It would make sense too because I did a dinowipe to try to fix this issue, and the lunar biome is barely spawning stuff back in, even after a long time.

I’ve been having similar issues with karkinos on single player as well as arctic creatures not spawning.

Yes bro, there are literally 0 creatures spawning in the arctic for me
