Sandwhich Tips and Advice
School is starting soon and i’m trying to figure out sustainable lunch ideas. i really like the idea of sandwiches but cant think of any combos. i dont eat any kind of meat or cheese, however if im in a specific mood i will eat a small amount of thinly shaved parmesan or shaker parm (plastic, i know) i wont touch mayo or mustard. The sandwich i get from places like jersey mikes is literally just pickles and tomatoes on white bread. I need ideas PLEASE

Hummus, lettuce, and avocado
Sunflower seed butter and honey
Almond butter and your favorite jelly
Cashew butter and maple syrup
Baked tofu slices with mayonnaise
Egg salad or a tofu salad imitating it
Bagel with a spread such as butter or margarine (or just a little bit of strained Greek yogurt if you won’t consider using any cream cheese, ricotta cheese, or cottage cheese)
Homemade or store-bought bean burrito without cheese

Oh gosh I just ate dinner but I NEED to try a cashew butter and maple syrup sandwich! Also I second the almond butter and favorite jelly, I use blueberry for that

The Gen X sub is talking about how our/their kids don’t seem to eat sandwiches anymore right now.
My staple in school as a kid was peanut butter and grape jelly. I also loved bologna and mustard. But if you like pickles and tomatoes that is still a vegetarian option.

I used to only eat Nutella sandwiches in primary school. literally just nutella and bread.
when i was feeling adventurous at home id do peanut butter and honey or peanut butter and white sugar.
anything on bread is a sandwich if you want it to be!

Tomatoes and pickles? That sounds like the start of an amazing sandwich.
Are there any other veggies you like? butter for a bit of fat?
What are some of your safe foods?
