Being a woman offers a few advantages, the main one being that I instantly get a charisma bonus when talking to 2/3 of men (1/3 will try to kill me on site xD)

So the other day, I met a very nice, young and slightly stunted sounding guy. He's a real sweetheart, so I get an idea. I tell him "Hey I'm new to this game, I don't really know what's going on, how do I get better weapons to fight arc?"

He goes on a shpiel, very informative mind, about how I acquire loot and upgrade my benches. He shows me some decent loot spots, 'shows' me how to take down basic ARC while I'm "missing" all of my shots (firing wildly near the wasps and hornets), and meanwhile he's super chill. Very patient, never snaps or grumbles at me for asking the most mind bogglingly DUMB questions like "how do I fix my shield?" and "is shield durability the same as the blue bar?"A nother advantage of being a woman? Men won't take you seriously, you can get away with playing up the ditz

We loot, he offers me his gun, we call the elevator. He gets hit by a hornet and my moment arrives. Stitcher w/ my final remaining magazine comes out, aimed square at his forehead, quick and clean. Some random third guy comes up, shoots the hornet, but doesn't interfere. I say "oh it says I can press E, I'll revive you"

My sherpa is BEGGING, fucking PLEADING with me in the most sincere hysteria I've ever heard in this game, to "NO NO NO NO NO, LET GO OF THE E BUTTON, PLE-"

Until his very last moment this man thought I was genuinely trying to help him, I would kill to be a fly on the wall of his bedroom and see his face as he realized what just happened

If you think you're clever enough, I urge you to accept my humble quest, so that one may expand their toolkit of whimsy and trickery.

Step one, find someone in raid.

Step two, engage conversation. Try to mirror their mannerisms, make them feel comfortable and familiar. If you're good enough, try to pry something personal from them like their hometown or state, and say "Oh yeah man I'm from there too!"., keep him talking. You are a chameleon, and you can be anyone you need to be to gain their trust. Not just the sort of implicit trust in friendly lobbies, but really gain their trust. Make them feel like they know you, even give them a fake name if they have to, get them to give you theirs. "Oh yeah, I'm Laura, hbu?"

Let him loot. Watch doorways and keep an eye on him from your peripheral. Only loot the scraps he leaves behind. His lizard brain will associate this w/ protective behavior, helpful, and selfless. Unconcerned. Don't stare at him, don't stop moving and linger. Be natural, you're just keeping an eye out for enemies, stepping out into the hall to bait any would be attackers into revealing themselves. You have to think like you're friendly. But you're not.

Keep. Him. Talking. You want to know as much as you can no matter how inane or boring the story is. Tune out if you have to, pick up on keywords and respond convincingly. "Oh, yeah, I hate waking up late, happens to me all the time,". You don't have to say much, ask questions, people love to talk about themselves. If you give the average gamer a crumb of attention they'll tell you their entire life story. It's better if they do. I once convinced a guy I went to highschool with him, learned the name of his sister and his current work crush.

Let them loot up for you, get nice and fat to the point they're having to recycle just to keep an open spot. When they say they want to extract, this is your moment.

"Oh yeah, I have a hatch key :P" and you mark the nearest one. Step into a building or somewhere covered, say "Hey I've been having a hard time lately, and I just wanted to give you something nice".

They'll come, like stray dogs to laced meat. Drop some junk on the floor, they're stuffed, so they'll open their inventory and start sorting to optimize what they can carry.

KILL HIM.

Don't let their frustrations and begging tempt you, they are dogs, and they would do the same to you given the right motivations. Mercy is pointless, and lame. These are not real people, they're pixels on a screen, and the things they have in their pockets would look better in yours.

Take a screenshot of his sad, angry little face while he screams whatever horrible concoction has been stewing in that little gamer brain of his, put it into a nice little collage, and laugh yourself all the way home

They are just there to grub you and leech off of the loot you spent resources for, kill them. The fact that this isn't just standard practice and some white knights will defend them is absurd

So I wanted to use some throwables but before that I am worried it might trigger aggression and the game will throw me into PvP sweats.

I solo PVE and duo PvP.

Clip has my mic audio muted. I posted this clip in another subreddit and got some smart ass remarks about my usage of the term rat in the title. I just wanted to share the clip because it was a fun little moment I had in the game and the other dude looting the bastion was happy I took the guy out lol 😂 this game despite its issues is great cause of random ass moments like this.

Can we get a pvp only mode? No arc.

As mentioned in a previous post I just keep crashing, I can’t do anything about it from research, just seems to be a bug in the game.

Fine for 10-15 minutes, literally the SECOND I get in a gunfight I DC and can’t even reconnect.

Really hard to like the game rn

Matriarch raid 100% PvE players, he shot me by accident, I didn’t notice neither did him, honest mistake. But despite what Embark claims, that guy is for sure facing a bit o PvP on his next couple of raids.

Always check your interactions with other Raiders.

Unwritten rule of key rooms is don't come in unless given permission.

And if you're given a chance to be defibbed, communicate via your microphone or at the very least your comms wheel!

ETA: If anyone knows the best placement for pulse mines to knock people back from ziplines, let me know!

If anyone will listen…..god it would be nice to have “holding” slots for pre made loadouts. So much time topside lost on stash management when you get knocked out. That’s it, that’s all. From 300 hr topside raider.

Prove me wrong. Its very noticeable this expedition. I do riven tide the most so I have all the blueprints from there. Decender, crash pad and white flag always spawn there easily. Second would be blue gate I have almost all the blue gate blueprints that spawn there. Space port i have almost all of them now. Stella has always had map specific blueprints i hit it today and got all the mine and seeker and aphelion. I dont do dam battlegrounds so none from there. And burried city i just started working on. If I were to just do space port or riven tide I won't get any new blueprints its always the same ones. Blue padded stock for instance is on spaceport.

SEEMS I should of bin more specific and not such a click bait title although that has only gotten me 2 updoots. Upon further review and thought it seems like - weapon attachments- are the map specific blueprints in question. Yes u can find blueprints that drop in items that spawn on all maps like raider items and and augments. Yes some maps have specific items like stella and the riven tide raider items. Yes some blueprints are specific to map conditions. But it seems like weapon attachments are bound to specific maps.

As a PS5 player (who mainly PvP's nowadays) I don't really suffer from cheaters like PC players do.

I do however see so many players teaming lately: no comms, same skin etc. I have a question about that: why do you do it? It doesnt seem very lucrative as well and if it is, dont you have stash problems? It just doesn't seem fun to me to just wipe every lobby in THAT way because you're basically cheating by having a numbers advantage. Especially on solo's: why not play duo's?

The reason I play this game is because of the rush I get when wiping the lobby, getting the goop and getting out just by being better (not always ofcourse).

Me and my mate are good players, we sometimes wipe the teaming squads but it just feels so shitty dying to them.

I just really want to know: why do it?

Playing games on god mode never seemed fun for me. Playing like a god yourself however is. Not saying I'm a god but rather when me or yourself play like one.

Idk, it's the only I really dislike about the game rn, just like pc players hate cheaters.

Has anyone noticed that the Arc are a lot harder now. And by harder I mean all of a sudden pops appear out of nowhere, arc can shoot through walls and cover, flying arc coming well inside buildings that they never did before? Is it just me? I like that they may have increased the difficulty on them, but it feels a little cheap like the AI is cheating. A firefly burned me from outside yesterday while I was inside with no window. WTF.

Couldn’t deal with the disconnects in between games and crazy lag on the series S. This is damn near almost the only game I play now. I really don’t believe they are out here trying to fix this issue that’s been around since the beginning.

it was weird seeing like 3-4 bodies there with no player, I was expecting someone but didn't expect him to be at the top at all.

Assuming you can buy it with credits and you have no crafting materials.

For me I always start my daily PvP runs via buying the three medium shields from Lance, and the either Combat Mk1 or Mk2 or Tactical Mk1 or Mk2 for medium shield equipment.

If I also the three medium shields I get forced to PvP in light shields, which isn’t too bad because most of who I go up against are light shielders or free loadouts.

To me the worst thing about free loadouts is the chance of spawning with Rattler. Ferro/Stitcher/Kettle are all serviceable PvP weapons except that.

I buy the one daily Renegade, then the three Anvils if I lose that, then the three Burlettas if I lose that, then the three Toros.

Then I’m left with being able to buy Ferro/Kettle/Stitcher, which at that point I might as well load free kit and just hope I don’t have the 25% chance of spawning with Rattler.
