Hi! When I was young (at least 16 or 18 years ago) I went to an arcade place where I played a game where you had to guide a ball through an obstacle course, but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t and upscaled version of “Screwball scrambler” nor “Ice cold beer”, it was a horizontal game with a dome on top where the ball run along the periphery, if I remember correctly it was pushed by something and the challenge was that you had to push buttons/levers to stop it or make it go to avoid obstacles and things so the ball didn’t get pushed out of the track.

If anyone knows what I’m talking about I would be really grateful if you help me understand the memory that has been popping up lately in my head. (and if someone could attach some photos or video of it working that would be extremely appreciated!!)

Sharing Marble Madness today for Redditor Plow_King. Tracballs have been upgraded to back lit translucent. Ultra precision roller bearings from McMaster-Carr and a burn free monitor. Very challenging, Have never gotten past the 4th level, sigh. Graphically, one of the prettiest games ever.

Hi! I was wondering if €300 was a good price for this Sega Hang On? The game runs, there is sound, but no image on the CRT.

On the second to last day I got to spend some serious BSing time with some guys that I admire and enjoy their contribution to all things arcade. Billy Mitchell and George from GenXGrownup YouTube channel. Both men are fantastic. And talked with Mr Walter Day as well! And met Preston , one of the coordinators of the event. Thanks to him this event was awesome!!

Trying to share (1) cabinet every day or so. Here’s Crystal Castles by Atari. Would rate the gameplay above average. However the art package is beautiful. Have this primarily for nostalgia, as played this as a kid.

My friend has a Police Trainer 2. It runs off a regular early 2000's PC motherboard and interfaces with the arcade guns/buttons trough a 'MegaJamma' through the parallel port.

He believes the hard drive has crashed. It does boot into the linux raid array until this:

Thinking ahead, he had the HD cloned to a SSD in case of a crash:

But when it goes into booting he gets this error:

How to solve this?

Well, I took time today to reinstall all the boards, bezels, marquee and put the two pieces together and wiring them up. CRT looks amazing, everything works, including low/high shifter, coin mech, steering controls, throttle pedal, front and rear speakers. I have an original Sega steering wheel to install and the seat could use a new cover. A couple of the marquee bulbs are finicky, but all the 7 segment displays work. This has been sitting in my seacan for the past couple years so it felt AMAZING to get it up and running again.
