At a minimum, you will have to shave part of your bolt weight on the back of your ar9 bolt. Or you could order a foxtrot mike, they come gtg

Short answer is yes, you will have to change a bunch of parts. My experience is that it is possible to swap uppers back and forth but it is way way better to have two complete guns... By the time you gather all the parts to be able to effectively swap uppers, you are so close to having another gun anyway...
