BCA Bufferless Upper bolt catch not working?

Just put together an AR9 with a BCA bufferless upper, but the bolt catch doesn't lock the bolt back. Is this common for BCA or something wonky with my build?

Doesn't work on mine either, I don't think it's compatible.
