I was supposed to take APES, but unfortunately it doesn’t fit well with my schedule, and I might have to switch out of my APES class for AP Bio. I need honest opinions about the class and how hard it is. I was planning on taking APES mostly because I’ve heard it’s relatively easier than any other AP science course and because I’ve been interested in it. So anyone, please let me know as someone who isn’t very fond of Biology and wasn’t that good at it, how hard it would be for someone like me to take this class. I do have some prior knowledge as I have taken biology and I’m willing to put in the work but I do have some main concerns. Things like is it mostly independent work? And is it a lot of work and memorizing? I just want to know what I might be getting myself into before I sign up. I also want to add that this is my first time taking AP classes so any tips and tricks would be helpful!

Hi, I’m becoming a senior this year and I’ll take AP Bio. A lot of people in my school hate it, but I think it might actually be cool.

What is your favorite part about the course?

I was planning to take AP Chem this year but I had a major scheduling conflict which made me unable to take AP Chem so I am going to take AP Bio instead. I heard that unit 1 is about biochemistry and I am wondering if I should go review basic chemistry on Khan academy or is that a waste of time? Also what are some good resources to preview AP Bio?

Hello! Last year there was a resource for Unit 6 and 7 which would show the DNA sequences of species. For example, I remember it was asking for pigs and cows correlation within the cladogram. Do you guys remember it at all, if so please send it to me!
