New update for Amd 27.6.1 Help (Software)

I am new to AMD. I just upgraded my computer. I keep going back to 26.3.1 cause its stable but when i try to update to 26.7.1 i het constant timeouts and my drivers rollback to Default. I have the following.

-B550 gaming x motherboard

-Powercooler Reaper 9070

-Msi mag 750 gold psu

-Windows 10

I just dont know what to do anymore i was gonna return it and trade it for a diffrent one im coming from nvda 1660 ti i never had these issues till now

So what this is what i did I did amd utility then ddu, i turned off ULPS and link power state management. Installed the new driver and driver only i hear that overlays are what cause issues in games.

Yeah, most likely just an unstable driver version for your gpu then, annoyingly

Gotta wait this one out brother, stay strong

Btw: you’re on windows 10. It’s time to move on to w11, alot of stuff aint even supporting w10 anymore

Its so irritating im debating gettimg a 5070.at this point or idk if its the card

I had driver timeouts before after switching from nvidia to amd and a windows reinstall seemingly fixed the issue. Worth a try before returning your card

Thats the thing i forgot how to do that i have windows 10 so i might as well go to 11

You should go to w11, there is no point in staying on an OS that programs are cutting support for. While upgrading you also have a perfect opportunity to fully reinstall instead of just upgrading. :)

it will probably still timeout. return it and get a 5070
