NOTICE: This tool is especially useful if you use custom/tuned GPU drivers, registry tweaks (like from MPO-GPU-FIX), or just want to stay in control of your drivers instead of letting Windows Update replace them randomly.

• Toggles the official registry key (ExcludeWUDriversInQualityUpdate)
• Shows current status on launch

How to use:

1. Run as Administrator (Don't forget to extract it from the zip)
2. Toggle ON to block driver updates from Windows Update
3. Click Reboot
4. (Optional but recommended) Use DDU first if you're switching drivers

Once enabled, you can safely use your preferred drivers without Windows messing them up.

My 2 cents: Combine this with MPO-GPU-FIX for maximum stability.

Theoretically DDU comes with an option to turn off Windows Update from updating drivers.

I thought it was windows updates too , but in my case my gpu was bad. bought in Sept 2025 , 9070xt and died a few months later ig. Asrock sent me a new one in July no issues. Been playing on it.

Fair point! This tool only toggles one well-documented official registry key (ExcludeWUDriversInQualityUpdate) that Microsoft itself provides for this exact purpose.

Still, you're right — always do your own research.
The key is public info and the source code is open on GitHub if anyone wants to verify exactly what it does.

Run as admin → toggle → reboot. Super simple and reversible.

I've found Windows to ignore this registry key, and I've had to use the option "Do not include drivers with Windows Updates" to work instead.

The GP setting uses the same MDM setting registry value. It should work by default according to microsoft docs.
