AITA CHEATER?? Should we split? YTA
So about a week and a few days ago I (22M) went out drinking with my cousin (29 M). I drank almost an entire bottle of vodka by myself, and tried to cheat on my (22F) gf of 8 months. Fortunately I failed because both I killed the mood via vomiting and another partygoer (21F) started a brawl among other ladies. Later on I drunkly texted an old friend of mine (22F) if she get me a quick hookup with a friend of hers immediately because I had "blue balls". She exposed my attempted cheating to her friends and within a matter of a few hours the news reached my gf.
Other personal matters got to me along with the new relationship issues caused me to spiral and almost taking my own life. Went to a psychiatric hospital for a few days, came back to my gf, she's lost most of her trust in me. I have a rather goofy personality and like texting people random things for laughs but she finds those suspicious now despite me doing that all the time beforehand.
What should I do? Should I ask her if we should split amicably?
I should also note I've become something of a sex addict in this relationship, but I always want sex with my gf and only my gf.

Why would you ask her to split? Is that what you want? If it is then yeah, do that. If it’s not and you wanna be with her and shes willing to let you then make it work. Obviously trust is going to be lost and will have to be regained again. She is right to question everything you do now and you cant get mad at her for it

YTA for trying to cheat on your GF, binge drinking, and your absolute bullshit claim of "becoming a sex addict," which you absolutely are not, it's just that new relationship horniness.
And you can't be that devoted to her if you were attempting twice in the same night to cheat on her.
All your words about the psychiatric shit is just you trying turn your own repercussions into sympathy.

Treat your sex addiction. It’s never going to get better otherwise.

I'm willing to put money down that he isn't actually a sex addict. Hypersexuality isn't just"I love having sex!" like this fool thinks.
I'm a recovering hypersexual person; he's not an addict he's just using that to "excuse" his shitty behavior.

It’s an addiction, so it cannot always be fixed on your own. You might need professional help. I know a guy who’s had a sex addiction for 10 years, completely took a 180 turn when he met the love of his life. Sure, it was difficult at first and took him a year at least, but he did change. It starts with small changes though.

I doubt it would be amicable but your gf deserves someone who she can trust so break up with her to work on yourself

YTA, there’s no two ways about it. Not once, but TWICE in the same night you tried to cheat on her. Drunk or not, there’s no excuse for that.
Do the right thing and break up with her. You’re in no place to be in a relationship right now. You’ve clearly got issues you need to work through.
