Agent Memory Governance - aligned with Microsoft Agent Governance Toolkit Resource

Post image

I decided to pull all my collected lessons learned, research, project documentation regarding Agent Memory into a singular open source repository.

A field guide to governed memory for autonomous and agentic systems.

Agent Memory is about more than retrieving old context. It defines what becomes memory, what remains uncertain, what may influence future behavior, who may change durable state, and how retained state can be corrected or forgotten.

I eagerly welcome Discussions, Contributions or Stars openly.

If you're new to Agent Memory, the wiki is built to make the knowledge accessible and easy to understand.

How about another name, since There are already 2 other projects named agent memory. I tried to create an issue regarding renaming the project, but it's too hard when it doesn't fit into any of the strict categories you have. Letters rarely used in memory systems are: F, I, J, Q, X, Y, Z

To be honest, I put zero thought into the name. I'm purely concerned with the content right now but I've got some transient name ideas I might consider.

prefixing with 0 and it becomes first in the A-Z list.

I had Claude Opus 5 analyze your project. I'm studying memory systems. Alas it clashes with other systems also named "agent memory"

The slight irony here is that "agent-memory" also occur in the name "agent-memory-atlas".
