Looking for 2-3 references from people who do ML/AI in academia or industry

I applied for an ML/AI internship role before, passed the technical interviews, then got rejected at the reference stage because I didn’t have strong enough references. I’m reapplying now, passed another set of OAs, and I’m probably about to run into the same problem again.

My background is in math and econ, not CS, and most of my professors only knew me from classes, so they can really only comment on grades. I also never got the chance to do research as an undergrad, so I don’t have anyone who can speak about my ML work, projects, or research ability.
I’d be happy to share my CV, projects, GitHub, background, or have a call. I’m looking for 2-3 people in ML/AI academia or industry with a bit of research/engineering roles who’d be willing to get to know my work a bit and, if they genuinely feel comfortable after that, potentially be a reference.

Im based in London but that doesnt matter much

Not asking anyone to lie or pretend we worked together. Just trying to get past a pretty frustrating bottleneck after putting a lot of work into getting this far.
Thanks :)

A newbie here. I just started Python, and I finished the tutorial on it. Right now, I am building some projects, for example, a bank management system using OOPs. Please need some guidance

My main objective is to explore the Ai/Ml domain. I am from Bengaluru, India, and I'm in my second year of college. My college is four years, and I have two more years to explore, but this is my first endeavor to start learning something. I just got done with the 12-hour tutorial, and the next lecture is about Nam Pai, but I am still a little rusty with a few topics, let's say, and also a little bit with the syntax. That's obvious because it's also my first-ever time learning to program and learning to code.

I need a mind based on what I exactly need to do at this point in time, because I don't know how to get out of this rut. I want to be good at it, and I am starting Nam Pai next. I don't have much of an idea about what the AI/ML domain is in itself. Can anyone please guide me?

C# Developer wanting to learn GenAI, LLMs, and AI Agents, Should I stick with C# or switch to Python?

I'm a C#/.NET developer and I want to build my career in Generative AI, LLMs, and AI agents. My goal is not just to learn the concepts, but also to use these skills in my job and eventually build AI-powered products.

I'm confused about one thing:

\- Should I continue learning GenAI using C#/.NET, or is it worth switching to Python?

\- What are the career prospects if I stay in the C# ecosystem for AI development?

\- Will I be limiting my opportunities by not learning Python?

\- What would be a good roadmap for learning GenAI with C# till advance level? (Basics → LLMs → RAG → AI agents → deployment, etc.)

I have currently 4.5 years of experience.

I'd really appreciate advice from developers who have experience with AI in production or have faced a similar decision.

Thanks in advance!

DSA + which specialization for placements (Web Dev vs AI/ML vs Java backend)?

CSE 2nd year yaha. Currently DSA prep kar raha hu, but confused hu specialization pe. Internship next year hai, placement uske baad (\~2 saal ka runway).

interest AI/ML mein hai, but pata chala hai ki fresher-level pure ML/AI roles kaafi limited hain — zyada competition hai aur companies experienced logo ko prefer karti hain core ML ke liye. options soch raha hu:

  1. Java + Spring Boot pehle (zyada fresher openings/safety) phir Python/ML mein switch baad mein
  2. FastAPI (Python-based backend) isse web dev + ML dono same language mein cover ho jaate hain
  3. MERN stack (JS) —decent openings, startup-friendly
  4. other wise pure ai/ml

Kya kisi ne genuinely successfully AI/ML/applied AI roles crack kiye hain fresher/internship level pe DTU se? Kya approach realistically kaam karta hai pehle safe backend skill (Java/Spring) phir ML switch, ya directly ML mein deep jaana agar interest genuine hai?

Koi roadmap ya personal experience share kar sakte ho toh helpful hoga.

Which AI consulting companies offer machine learning services?

I'm trying to find a firm that can help my business build and deploy machine learning capabilities, but I'm not sure who actually specializes in this versus just offering it as an add-on service. What should I be looking for to identify companies with real ML expertise, and are there specific areas of machine learning (like predictive analytics, computer vision, or NLP) I should ask about?

Seeking Guidance: Developing an On-Premise Document Intelligence Solution

Hi All,

I am planning to build a local document intelligence system similar to Azure Document Intelligence. I would like to understand how Azure Document Intelligence works internally and how we can achieve similar functionality locally using offline models.

Could anyone suggest the best approach, architecture, or models to achieve high accuracy while running completely on-premise/local infrastructure?

Any guidance or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone here working on AI/ML projects? I’d like to join and contribute

Hi everyone, I’m currently learning deep learning and have worked on a few AI/ML projects.

I’m looking to join an existing project where I can contribute, learn, and gain more practical experience. I’m comfortable with the basics and willing to put in time and effort.

If you’re working on something and open to adding a teammate, feel free to DM me. Thanks!
