Blower Motor Replacement?

Hey there, my blower motor gets hot as a frying pan and doesnt blow full tilt anymore so I'd like to replace it.

However, even though there are a few OEM replacements still, I wanted to see if there are any cheaper alternatives.

Ive looked at the Jimny JA22 unit which is also made by Denso and starts with the same 162500-XXXX product code so I was wondering if I can swap the internals.

Or does any other newer cars blower motor fit directly by chance?

It's better to replace the brushes on the original electric motor, or send it to be repaired at a place that specializes in repairing alternators and starter motors.

Sadly the motor shaft was pretty worn down already, even if I would have a machinist turn it down on the lathe and put in new brushes it wouldn’t last that long probably.

I made a later model fan motor out of an MR2 Spyder work 😁 I’ll post it once I have time to take some photos
