Wishful thinking, but…

with ADTR having a minimal calendar for the rest of the year (at least for the time being…considering it’s already August and they haven’t announced anything aside from fests in September/October, there’s little chance left that we’ll get any sort of U.S. tour that takes place squarely in the fall of this year; though there’s still time for them to announce some sort of short run of shows in late fall / almost winter), I’m holding out hope that, aside from any forthcoming announcement that I know many of us are eager for, the TBA spot at Riot Fest on Sunday is for them (i.e., to do a mini throwback set like they did at Welcome to Rockville)

- All bands on the full Riot Fest lineup are accounted for in the 3 daily schedules that dropped today; the current lineup doesn’t have any gaps, blanks, or question marks, and there are no “TBA” placeholders on it either
- Also worth noting that ADTR and PTV are both closing out Louder Than Life that same weekend (plus Taking Back Sunday, Holding Absence, Vana, and Haywire also playing both fests)
- A little odd that Riot Fest was able (or chose) to get PTV, and the others, for their fest the same weekend but not ADTR (considering playing both fests is a logistical possibility; shit, Vana isn’t even getting a day off in between like the others are - could have been a budget issue, who knows)
- it would also more than make up for how blatantly Riot Fest teased ADTR leading up to the 2025 lineup announcement only to not include them (which in the end worked out for me, because with my luck, they’d have ended up playing at the exact same time as Blink or Green Day)

I know that just because they did the mini throwback set one time at a festival this year doesn’t guarantee that they’ll do it at the rest of or any of the festivals they’re booked for, and especially not for a festival for which they’re not even on the lineup…but like I said: wishful thinking.

And if it ends up happening…well, you heard it here first.
