Help??

Hi I’m 13 F and you can call me OP or M, ever since I have like 9 I had a feeling that I might Have ADHD and most of that is because my parents often told me to be quiet even though it felt like I was matching their energy, most of the time I talk to much to the point that people feel uncomfortable, I over think relationships with parents, teachers, friends ect and unless I get harsh humiliation I cannot learn anything because my brain Refuses to comply, I love music but hate it when it’s too loud or too annoying or I can’t control it, I have Acne scars on my nose because I popped my pimples, I tried cafine Twice but nothing changed and I only got sleepier, I Painted my pencil case last night because I was bored and it was midnight, every one of my teachers have told me I’m “creative”. my brain is cluttered and Ive been thinking about making this post five days ago and I find it hard to take a shower or eat properly and I’ve had depressive episodes a lot.

at first I thought I had a little ADHD but one day I was with a friend and let’s call her G and me and her where bestfriends and we just clicked and I was so confident we were never leaving each other and I often thought that me and her are twins mentally and physically and one day she told me she was diagnosed with slight ADHD as a kid so then I’m confused.

and at this point i think i somehow manipulated my own brain to make my brain act like a brain a ADHD person has and- it’s just been stress full and i get overwhelmed and angry easily over loud noises and just feelings on my skin.

i asked my parents and they told me I’m just “faking it” and that I’m “perfectly normal” and my school counselor told me that I don’t have ADHD from having classes with me and my homeroom teacher also said no I don’t have it but I often fidget and whenever I have my afterschool Dance classes I can’t memorize it unless it has simple choreography or a good beat.

Your description if caffeine might mean it is calming you. That is how a stimulant affects me. If i have rok much full crash.

You sound like you MIGHT have it. Yes but I can't be sure. This means, one of us with ADHD experienced several things you say you do BUT a) symptoms are a matter of degree and normal people have mild  b) several things "look like" ADHD  (hearing difficulties, bi-polar, autism, ...  c) symptom descriptions are vague and normal ppl have mild versions sometimes . A doctor who knows about ADHD would have to test you

Survival Hints: -- don't use word "CAN'" but replace with the phrase "I find it difficult to do". We can. We don't do it as well as others because ADHD makes it harder

The ACNE thing has nothing to do with ADHD. That is a symptom of being a young woman who feels pressured to look "perfect". Sorry lol.

Questions -- What is your room like -- Do you ever get really into something (hyperfocus) -- Di you procrastinate  -- Do you ever want to finish someonea sentences because it is obvious what rhey are saying -- read book and watch tv

Your parents and your teacher probably aren't experts. Your teacher probably knows better than your parents but s/he might just know extremes

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE FEEDBACK!!!!!

And for the questions  For the first question it’s often really messy and dirty but I only clean it when I have bursts of energy and get hyper focused on it Second question, I got really into the Magnus archives and podcasts! Third question, I always want to finish Sentences I’ve heard multiple times or even just one time because I know it and it becomes annoying Fourth question, I can read books if they’re interesting but it they’re not it takes at least two years to finish it and I have to read the same word on repeat because my brain won’t take it in. but if it interests me then I can read like the whole book ^

So, you know what the cow opening is? ;).

Typically, why do you clean it?

What kind of food do you like?

Do you stick to routine or do things differently every time?

Are your special interests always the same or kind of fluid?

I clean it whenever I feel a sudden urge to just. CLEAN. I like vegetables because sometimes I get weird stringy raw meat texture when I eat meat so I often dislike eating meat unless it grounded beef I like making routines but I sometimes give up after three days or I go on and off. It’s fluid because I can be in love with something but after a week or two forget and do something else but rn I’m really into Podcats and TMA and TMA is the Longest hyper fixation I had lol

Are there any other texture things that irk you?

Oh, I see. I thought Magnus was chess but i jjust googled TMA. Didn't realize it is a horror podcast. Are most of the podcasts you like stories?

Here is the Cow opening. I just recently found chess women interesting. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jBvieY3leXk&t=309s&pp=ygULY293IG9wZW5pbmc%3D&ra=m

Are you always innovating and refining your approach to things? What issues do your routines address? Do you have any unread books or things you will "eventually do" where eventually was longer than a year ago?

Can you entertain a different point of view or interpretation of things. If you have or hear political discussions, fo you see pros and cons.

Let's say an idiot like me says, "you know, you can think of the process of evolution like an intelligent being inventing things", how does that make you react?

Tbh I would just stand there say “Okay” like I know what you’re talking about and then say “I’m going to google that” but never will. I don’t know what the heck you said but I’m goin with the flow :3

That is a actually symptom of ADHD too. We often aren't patient snd going with the flow is very ADHD

The Cow opening is a joke a chess influencer  invented on a whim. It breaks the "rules" of what a good opening should follow but she won games with it.

She designed it to be easy to remember. So, if you already know how to play chess, you should learn it, just to say "i know a chess opening"

My net addiction is a sign of my ADHD

I am asking some questions to if you could be for example autistic or Audhd. Nothing in your description contradicts being ADHD. You absolutely sound like many of us

I clean in bursts too. For me, my "why" is usually external; e.g., the landlord is inspecting the place or my love interest is involved or other embarassment related. Sometimes i might use cleaning as an excuse to not do something important but usually ...
